If you decide to cut the pigs anyway, start off by leaving some of each pig existing (esp the one that is threaded for one of the tip mounts) (at least an inch or more). That way you can add copper tubes to restore them back later, if you want to. They can be repaired if cut all the way off, but then you have to buy a full replacement deal from Mark T.


Extra long piggie replacements.

Downturns (as opposed to slash cuts) will drag riding off aprons (but here is another pig modification).

Another reason to go with flat cut tips... the pigs remain hidden.
My IS came with pigs
all gone (but no drilling baffles) and straight cut tips. They have a nice rumble cruising around, but long rides on the freeway they can drone a bit more than I would like. If you ride next to a long jersey wall (or something like that), the drone gets real apparent.
