I was just watching a baseball game when they announced that a player was out for the remainder of the season with a left groin sprain.

It caused me to realize how much of life I must have missed out on.  Wouldn't it have been special to have both a left and a right groin?   Roll Eyes  I would still be fully functional.

It hurts just thinking about it. Just like slipping off the pedals on a boys bike. In 1967 while trying to kick start my 66 Norton I slipped off the kickstart lever and landed on the tank, next stop I was laying in the street gutter in pain.

Must have been a grade 3 groin strain that can take a couple of months or more to heal.  I have had several grade one strains, many years ago while playing football and baseball that usually cleared up within a week.   Feel bad for this player - would not want to go through that.

Years ago I had a left groin strain.  It took a frustratingly long time to heal; half a year or thereabouts.  You don't realize how much you use those muscles until you get a shot of pain every time you do.  These are the muscles we are talking about:

Vague recollection of disco dancing and doing the splits.  And OUCH

Alcohol makes you think you are more limber than you are.

I didn't know you could do the splits.

Neither did I.
