I really like what Ruger is doing with this series of pistols.  I'm collecting the regular production models and have all models released so far.

I came very close to pulling the trigger on one of those (Haha, see what I did there?) as a suppressor host, but ended up going with a GSG 1911-22... I ended up liking that gun so much I bought a clone.

I still might pick one of the Rugers up, anything to look for, avoid, etc on those?

I like the look of the blue one with the vertical ventilation in the barrel shroud, but functionality trumps looks too, if there's anything to be concerned with on that?

I like at least a 5.5" bbl on a 22 pistol.  And I like them heavier.

Have the longer (7.25') fluted bbl to switch out with the 5.5" bull bbl.

And this (which I traded my Ruger Mk I target for yrs ago). The plan was to stick a red dot or reflex sight on it.

I like them all.

Those rugers are nice little guns.  I have been eyeing the green one for a few weeks. I dont have a 22 semi auto pistol. I with serk on this, if I get one it will be a surpressor host. My buddy has a silver one and is really fun to shoot and surprisingly accurate.  A refles sifht on top would be perfect.

22's are fun. So which 22/45 is your favorite? I'm kinda partial to the green.

I wish they'd do the Ruger Charger in .22 mag.

That would be MY next Ruger purchase.  Smiley

On all my Mark III's I put in a aftermarket bushing to get ride of the magazine disconnect feature and on one of the Lites (black fluted one), Mark III Hunter and Mark III Target I installed Volquartsen hammer/trigger/sear kits...real nice crisp 1 lb trigger pull.

On several Ruger forums I read some people have been having trouble with extraction problems...they either put in aftermarket extractors or send them to Ruger for repair for a fix.

toss-up between the blue and green

I'm wondering what Ruger will come up with for the next release.

Necro'ing this old thread...

*Sigh* You'd think I'd learn by now, I can't do "just a little" of anything...

A while back figured I'd pick up one of these fun little Ruger plinkers to play with and help train the kiddos to shoot pistol...

And now a month later, this...

Haven't noticed any decrease in accuracy from any of my suppressors, if anything with the suppressor on I've had an overall increase in practical accuracy from reduced recoil and reduced flinch...

(Admittedly, on the 22s there's not a lot of recoil to begin with, but even what's there is reduced)

Oh yeah, and now that I've completed my collection of 22/45 Lites, Ruger just rolled out MKIV Lites... Basically the same gun but with a simple one button takedown instead of the Rube Goldbergish gyrations required to take down the MKIII and MKIIs...

I have a Ruger Standard 22 that I bought back in the late 50s, it has always been a keeper.  I do have a preference for heavier cals though,  I have a BFR in 45-70 that I really like also.  Anyhoo Ruger is a fav manufacturer for me.

Awesome.  cooldude

Fffffffffft........ Thwaaaaap.

Even with a no-ears-necessary Super Colibri .22 from a rifle, the shot is quieter than the hit.  (assuming you hit something)

I also bought a 22/45 Lite a few years ago, haven't looked it over in a while, but I have never seen the line of other colors and mods as those in your picture.

Found it a nice shooter. Also easier shooting the .22 rather than reloading my own ammo again, no place to do it.
