When Health Republic Insurance of New Jersey announced recently that it is $46 million in debt and shutting down, it became the 17th failed ObamaCare co-op since the Affordable Care Act launched three years ago. And they were one of the original sponsors and proponents of this plan. It cannot sustain itself.
Worst plan ever. Hospital where my wife works that was profitable for 38 years and provided excellent health care to the community just lost 1.3 Billion nationwide due to this stupid plan. I cannot see this go away quick enough.

yeah,, they have now forced my wife who has worked there 38 years to work 12 hour shifts. And one weekend a month. They are struggling to make it all work. She does not want to quit. She loves her job in NICU and loves seeing healthy babies go home

But those liberals think it is great and that it is doing great. When this Obummer care kicked in the hospital my wife works at took their call pay away. She use to get paid for 3 hours every time she was called in even if she was just there for 30 minutes. Anything over 3 hours the adjusted accordingly. Now she may get called in 5 times in a night and only get paid for the time she is there. She lost an average of 600 bucks on every pay check due to this. There is nothing good about this program at all. Just a way for the government to get another step into our lives. A way for them to force ones without insurance to buy a product they don't want or even need. I cant force anyone to buy my products so why is the government allowed to do this?
Cheryl lost her overtime at the hospital as well. She used to work the Oncology/Hematology clinic from 9 - 5 and she was good for at least 2 days when they would ask her to help out where they were short on floors. No more. No Republicans voted for it, and they've been ridiculed for trying to get rid of it over and over and over again. And I bet it will still be those obstructionists fault when it does collapse the system. My opinion, the collapse is the intent. Create a crisis so the folks beg for gov't to step in and "fix" it (even though they broke it in the first place) leading to the insertion of single payer.

Well, just because something doesn't work in other countries never has meant anything to us. We'll make anything work or bankrupt the taxpayer trying. And, doesn't the latter always seem to happen.

It IS working out, according to the Progressives plan!
It WAS made to FAIL!
As it does, the cries will go out for single payer to solve all the woes!

Using the NHS in the UK can in some areas mean a wait of 467 days for cataract surgery.
The (enter descriptor here) who bow down to single payer need to do their own EXTENSIVE research on how it works and AT WHAT COST FINANCIALLY in those countries that do already have a system in place.
If a system like the UK NHS is held up as a shining example why are there private health systems/hospitals being operated successfully in the UK?

Could be Obama care or just the hospital. I think the 3 hr pay was a courtesy of the hospital, not necessarily from wage and hr. I believe w & h says pay for actual time. Back when we did 24 hr shifts we were only paid for 19 hrs as a courtesy. To save money they cut us to only 16 hr per 24 hr shift and followed w & h.

Could be the diff between 'for profit' vs 'non profit' hospitals. Our non profit 'health system' is doing very well. Building a huge cancer hospital, building a new county hospital, and recently acquired another counties EMS service which I'm certain they paid over a million bucks for. Not to mention the $$ to get it running.

Oh, come now. Our President was just on TV talking about his legacy. This act has been great for our country and 10s of thousands more people have good healthcare as a result. Since he says it works well, it must be true. Of course, he doesn't use it.

The smaller hospitals are either forced to be absorbed into bigger organization or close down services. Our local hospital has shut down OB and the psychology ward to cut cost. In a hospital that used to house several "good" doctors, they now house 3 traveling docs.
The service they now provide is terrible and minimal at the expense of the community. My last kidney stone adventure was a sham at best. After being admitted I laid there in ER for 2 hours in pain, puking without seeing anyone. When the ER DOC came in he said he forgot I was there. I left and drove 25 miles to a real hospital, never to return.
Cut back in services, current services are terrible, and have to drive 25 miles to have a kid. A good hospital gone bad in the past few years.

This abortion of "health care" was setup to fail so the glassy eyed "followers" of their messiah(s) would be able to demand that one payer system. We have a bunch of folks here we ride with and have talked with in person that KNOW how well the a c a do NOT work! Makes one wonder How MUCH more PROOF is needed that this IS a FAILURE of monumental proportions. RIDE SAFE.

The ACA is horrible. Screwing millions of people out of money to covers those who don't pay in is just awful. Saw a family on TV this morning who were forced onto the ACA exchange and will be forced to pay an increase to $1,800 every month. That a mortgage and a car payment for most people. And I also heard that a$$hole Gruber say today that the ACA is in fact working as supposed to. Even though insurance companies are pulling out and people's payment have tripled. It's just going through its motions and will stabilize he said.
And while we wait, people's lives and savings are being ruined. They used to cry about those who went broke when an illness happened. Why is it OK for those who don't get sick to be ruined?

While I don't blame you for banning the use of the name in your home, please remember, Obama didn't get this done by himself. Remember who was in control of the House and the Senate. Those are the folks those who oppose Obama Care should be voting out of office. They also hold the purse strings that can control much of what a President can do. If they don't fund it, he/she can't spend it. All I'm saying is, the Presidential vote isn't the only important vote you're casting this November 8th. Now that the AHCA has been in practice for several years, I doubt any President can get rid of all of it. But, it can be revised to be affordable, responsible and accountable. One other note, elected officials should not be allowed to have a health care plan any better than "we the people". That is not the case. We deserve better and yet still support these bastards and witches. Sad, very sad. I'd run for office but, I have three problems. 1) I can't afford it and 2) I'm not connected to any powerful rich folks and 3) I take pride in having some degree of integrity. Guess I'll have to be happy being an officially recognized PITA.

Just a reminder. NOT ONE REPUBLICAN voted 'FOR' ObamaCare.
And many of them stood on the floor of the House and Senate and explained and revealed, ON THE RECORD, the terrible and fundamental problems with this law, most of which have come to pass. Its not like nobody knew this was insane and ultimately unworkable. It was explained many times. But the GOP were just being obstructionist. Put a catchy name on the bill and the Democrats will vote for it cause it sounds good.

Most of New Mexico (60%) loves us some obamacare. (I guess I should say not me) “Almost no one could buy as good a health coverage as Medicaid,” said McKernan, who said the program insures about 45 percent of New Mexico’s 2 million residents. With Medicare added in, the federal government is picking up the lion’s share of the health insurance tab for 60 percent of the state’s population. Under Obamacare, 240,000 additional New Mexicans went on the Medicaid rolls, with roughly the same number of doctors and hospital beds. McKernan said the way Medicaid is structured could dissuade some low-skilled recipients from moving to full-time work with employer-paid benefits. That’s because moving from Medicaid to employer benefits would cost more, sometimes wiping out any income increase and putting them in a worse financial situation, said McKernan, a certified public accountant who has been running the UNM hospital system for 20 years." https://www.abqjournal.com/875741/unmh-exec-paints-gloomy-healthcare-picture.html?utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=Echobox&utm_source=Facebook&utm_term=Autofeed#link_time=1477519510
