Just thought I'd share this. Petscan was just read and I'm now considered cancer free.  We'll be in Florida by the weekend and celebrate for the next 5 months.

Great news! Congrats... hope all of your celebrating goes just as well, too. If your bringing your Valk along, perhaps you can join the Florida riders for some of our RTEs... If not, then you can still join us with your car, pick-up or whatever... It would be good to meet you and share the happiness. Happy for you whatever happens!!!

Patrick, great news. Are you going to be back on the Gulf Coast again? If so, you need to take DDT's lead and join up with some of our rides. Most of us are pretty harmless.  Grin

Thats for the responses. I'd like to get together with all you Florida characters sometime.  The bike won't be with us though. I couldn't ride it all summer and not so sure I could yet.  I've been temped to take it out and see how it goes, but, if it started to go down I might now be able to hold it up but I think thats still a crap shoot. I'll wait for awhile longer, getting stronger every day. 70 lbs is a lot to lose and retain any strength.

Good for you, enjoy yourself. My brother-in-law  is in Mass General hospital for throat cancer and getting chemo and rad. treatments. He will remain there for the winter after surgery. Doc said good chance for beating it but it will be tough.

Yep, we're now in Largo near Clearwater and Bellair . Well, we'll be there soon.

Its starting to cool off up here and since I've lost all my insulation I'm in need of some warmth and sunshine. Some rum would fit right in too.   Smiley

Well, ya know, I may become a believer. I was thrown out of the Catholic Church way back in 1970, wouldn't pay their extortion.

Since then I've been studying religions. I keep coming up with more questions than answers.

But, since the locality became aware of my situation I'm surprised at the support and religious support. They're having prayers for me weekly, lighting candles, etc.  One friend of JoAnn was recently at Lourdes and brought back some holy water for me. I'm now thinking all this has certainly helped.

I know I now look at many things differently.

I hope the best for your brother in law. The doctors and techs I dealt with kept saying the treatments for this are harder than any other to deal with. I just have to believe them I guess as I have nothing similar  to compare this to.  Mine was inoperable and had 35 radiation and 7 chemo sessions so i understand some of what he is going through. If I can be of help just let me know.

I want to thank all that responded. The weather now is beautiful and if the folks in Florida decide to get together sometime I'd like to see if I can make it to the gathering.
