I hope not. In fact now that the 8 year nightmare is over, I'm hoping the political bullshit here will decrease to a trickle and our many older members that got disgusted and left will return.

While I am relieved that America looked into the abyss, then decided to turn away and walk away, I'm trying very hard to not let my elation turn into taunting and rubbing the noses' of those who disagree with us in it. However... I had this meme ready to go for another site, so I'll just use it here because it fits...

All the crap thrown at Trump and his ability. Obama for 8 yrs sat in the white house or flew around the country campaigning had Republicans in office a few times refused to compromise and told them to shut up and sit down I won. Trump gave acceptance speak early this am asked for help from both sides and before early this afternoon already called Pelosi to discuss the current pending jobs bill. He has already reached across the Isle before the first day as president. Already doing more than Obama has done while in office. Kind of interesting? Time will tell.

Baldo (Bob) hasn't been nearly as negative as DaddyO ever was.
DaddyO has been silent for a while, I fully expect DaddyO to keep his distance until he finds he just can't take it any longer. Bob is definitely not a Trump fan and that's OK with me, I'm more of an Anti-Hillary person than a Trump fan but, I would rather go where no man has gone before than go down a road we know will lead us to hell.

I hope he makes good on his promises, some are so far-fetched that I don't see it happening in some cases. Campaign promises aren't always worth their weight in gold, if you know what I mean.... When the election ended, I was pretty cursed pissed, let me tell you. I'm still a bit shell shocked, but I've had a day to walk back from the ledge and get back on more of an even keel. It helped that yesterday was a busy day for me, limiting my time to open my laptop. I did peek in once or twice to see how the membership was responding. What is it with those who loose then complain about the rules. There will always be some unhappy with whatever the outcome is. Maybe Trump should start blaming Obama when things don't go right for the next 4 years. That should stir up a s$%^t storm.

As far as those complaining about the Electoral College, I'm not in that camp. But to say that the right wouldn't be complaining if the election went the other way is disingenuous . They were already complaining before the election had begun. It's done. It's time for governing by the conservatives now. They hold all 3 bodies now. There should be no room for complaining. Go get it done.

Thank God, SCOTUS and the Constitution has been saved. Oh, BTW, both candidates made promises that neither one would have been able to keep without Congressional support. Trump will not get his wall but, he will get something. I went around all day yesterday with that song from the Wizard or Oz stuck in my head and a smile on my face. You know the one: https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=The+Witch+is+Dead%2c+wizard+of+oz&view=detail&mid=588D70540AFA79E412AC588D70540AFA79E412AC&FORM=VIRE

That wall is similar to that free college education Hillary promised. Had she won, she couldn't make it happen by herself. Do you think her supporters would have been pissed over that? Edited: Oh heck, that might be all those protesting students............ Ya Think?

Unless it could be accomplished by Executive Order, she'd need support.

Classy reply Baldo. Sincerely. We live in a democracy where the majority rules and someone is always going to be disappointed that their side didn't win. Clearly in this case that is what happened to you and while not happy with the outcome you accept the reality of the situation and are not joining the whining throngs saying that Trump isn't their president, the system is broken, etc. The protesting and rioting that is happening now post election disgusts me to my core.

If you guys can't get things done with the strength you now have, it would be a huge blunder.
