Got some rears today. I've needed one for my standard and recently discovered I'd soon need one for my I/S. Was poking around on a link that Britman had posted about his tire. Liked the way they looked and were $75 delivered. I'd never heard of the brand so hopefully they are ok.

Looks like a nice tire.

Your garage is way to clean to my liking.

Nice... I just had my 2nd Darkside tire ever put on, put 20,000 miles on it, coulda done another 15 - 20k but since I was WAY past due for the final drive maintenance figured I"d just go ahead and put a new one on there...

Grin no not hardly. If I'd have pointed the camera over to my bench, you'd have been thinking "doesn't he ever put his tools away"

That's Brenda's Miata. It is pretty nice.

I think these will be number 5 & 6 between the 2 bikes. The roads here must be rough on tires. I think this will be 20k on my Yokohama . But it's better than the 8-10 I was getting out of the MC tires.

at 195/60/16, if you had a car that takes that size (doubt it but possible),  you could say at 20K miles on it using for valk then taking off,  in no time flat you could have a full set of 4 car tires for the actual car..   Cheesy

I would only do a car tire (would like to test drive one first) if I put over say 5-6K miles per year on my cycle.  Then it for sure makes sense.

One of the good things about Arizona is year round riding. As long as you can handle 125*. I've averaged 18k a year over the last 6.

no, I cannot handle 125 temps even if they say AZ is a dry heat.  Hot is still hot.

Went to Tucson AZ once in March in the 70's pushing 80 temps and sure felt HOT to me, considering at the time was below freezing in WI.  I was the only one swimming in an outdoor swimming pool where we stayed the locals guessed it right away from WI, stating I had a WI accent as well - never knew us northerners had accents?  weird?

18K miles per year is truly amazing to me on a cycle.  Heck,  I barely put on 18K per year on a car.

Hmmm....there was a time I was putting 24k a year on my Standard and 6k on our vehicles.

That's Brenda's Miata. It is pretty nice.

They are nice... We considered one, but the top of the windshield literally came about to my chin, even with the seat as far back and down as it would go...

Don't mean to laugh at you, but the image of you driving the Miata is kind of comical.

The spousal unit wanted a BMW Z3... She test drove it, loved it...

I tried to test drive it and then this happened...

Which is really funny seeing as I drove even smaller cars (Toyota MR2) for almost 20 years... But those being mid engined, they had TONS of leg room...
