I was a pretty voracious reader of Motorcycle magazines when I was young. I thought I had heard of just about every bike ever made. But I was wrong again. This is a video of one of Jay Lenos bikes. It is very interesting. (At least I thought so)

The bike is interesting, but what blows me away is the size and layout of his cavernous shop/warehouse, and everything in it.  Talk about living the dream.

I sure wish Jay was still the Tonight host.

(I get full Johnny Carson shows on Antenna TV, and they are still better than any current network late nite shows, by a long shot)

No, I don't.  What I would find hilarious would be if that cast and Samantha B were thrown to hungry lions in an arena like the Christians of old.

I tried buying one way back in the 60s, it was/is one heck of an expensive ride and since teenagers don't have any money it never happened. Would still like one today.

Cool old bike.  cooldude Like you, I was an avid reader of the motorcycle magazines when I was a growing up, and don't recall seeing the Mammoth.

Yes, I remember them well as I looked to buy a 1200 CC model in the early 1970's until I saw the cost.

I really liked the idea of the NSU car engine as I was doing a lot of long distance riding in those days and need the reliability and long service life.

In those days I would sell and buy a new bike every 2 years or earlier if the mileage got to high.

But when it came down to buying 2 of anything else or 1 Mammouth, I elected 2.

The price in those days would buy a nice car, so I bought 1 non Mammouth and 1 car.

Still looks good to me even today.

You can still buy some die cast models of Freidrich's masterpieces.
