I think I'm going to go crank up the old wing and take it for a ride before the snow comes. It's a balmy 21 outside

Sorry for you Mike, it's been showers here all day, 2.5' C on my outside thermometer. We got about 2" yesterday, but it never stayed below zero, so easy to shovel, and wet underneath. WR was talking about limited visibility, so I wonder how Paul made out? But you did get the bike out of the garage.

I've never been delusional enough to think we have anything more than a 8 month riding season here... Weather dude sez we will have 8" - 10" of the white scourge by midnight tomorrow Black Dog agree on the 8 months of riding as well, then take another 2-3 months off that as well for raining out, then looking at 6 months of riding season is all... so far, only 4 inches of the white stuff but expected 4 more or so today ending tonight by 6 p.m. or so. Great for skiers and snowmobiles, am sure they will be out in full force today like my neighbor who just bought a new skidoo 4 stroke 1200 2-up machine (very nice) for his wife and him to go bar to bar drinking and smoking. A few more weeks though before ice fishing usually XMAS break and is safe to walk on 3-4 inches of ice by then. I have done 2 inches with being clear ice can see down below into the water when pulling up panfish/pike seeing them circle below the ice (pretty cool), but that spooks me to death being only 2 inches. Will not have that this year being 7-8 inches of snow on top. One fellow in WI already had to be rescued attempting to get out onto the ice already - brain dead?

Here in wonderful NE Ohio, realistically 6 month riding season. Valk goes into storage usually on Thanksgiving and comes out April Fools Day. Oh the irony! With the rain even 6 months is a stretch but, it sounds good. We had our 1st snow few weeks back. When it came the Friday before was 77* and on the Sunday that it snowed it was 31*. It was amazing because I was sure the snow would not accumulate. It did to the tune of about 3" and 7 hours of overtime. 5 @ time and a half and 2 @ double time. Today it started snowing Around 2 or 3am. Been snowing on and off ever since. 'bout 4" on the ground and more forecasted throughout the night. With that wonderful snow rain mix included. Don't have to tell you guys that a little wind therapy would do wonders this time of year! Oh the irony of it all!

Hugh, poop?? 12 inches already seems like a lot on the ground. We had 4 inches last week wet and heavy, 6-8 inches this time around yesterday, light and fluffy (NOT poop though....). I guess if you add 8+4 is 12 inches for us as well but most of that first 4 inches went bye-bye thankfully.

The big pond is still warm and not frozen, so we get the lake effect stuff. If you wish Cookie you can keep it over there all winter? I'm not stingy.

-2 C (there's that "goofy" metric thing again.....OK, that would be 28.4 F) in the sun today, and more snow this past weekend. With the cool & clear forecast for this week and the possibility of even a further snowfall towards the end of the week, it's starting to look iffy as far as getting another ride in before Christmas. One of these days I may just learn to not gloat quite as much to my fellow Canadian riders...pretty sure that has something to do with this weather we've been having...

It isn't -30 there with the windchill.

75 yesterday over at HotGlue's house making gingerbread houses. The icing would hardly solidify to stick everything together. On a positive note, I did get a new tire put on Saturday morning so I can ride this next weekend. Sorry Hooter, about your white stuff. Hay Jimmyt

Got to go for a short ride last Friday. Now sitting in warm home drinking coffee and looking out at 4" plus of white on the ground. Roads are snowpacked. No riding for a few days.
