"Bunker Hill has a population of about 900 people."
I think Indiana, and Bunker Hill, will survive.
I would bet most of the police business (and revenue) is speeders on U.S. 31.
Sound like small town politics and not a national new story.
Miami Correctional Facility (an Indiana state prison) has a Bunker Hill address, but I doubt it had any effect on the local police force.

As a small town Hoosier, I'm not surprised. Decades ago, a local town had a meeting in which many local people showed up to oppose something the local mayor was backing and had a personal investment in. He had a policemen at the meeting taking video of those speaking up in opposition which I'm sure was being done for the purpose of intimidation.
The local people still won if I remember correctly.
