Everyone who's got one knows how good they are.

If you have a 1800 Valkyrie (and probably a Tourer/STD 1500) they install
via a "mounting bar" that you fix into the passenger seat, under the cover
and foam.

I'm using my Utopia again now that I have the Russell seat, and I want to
run my 1800 solo... so I've found three fabricators (Randy doesn't know
he's one of them yet  Cheesy ), I'm going to see if one of them can build me a rear
fender rack that also is the mounting point for my Utopia.

The attachment point on my imaginary rack needs to be exactly
like the attachment point on a real Utopia "mounting bar", so
I contacted Bob at Utopia to see about buying one that I can
supply to whoever the fabricator turns out to be.

Bob is going to make me a mounting bar and send it to me.

For Free.

Utopia/Bob is a good place to do business  cooldude ...

Yup, good product and good company.

After over 100,000 miles of having my at the time 350 pound carcass slamming into it the metal bar fatigued and broke.

I wrote them to ask how much to buy a replacement, he asked for my address and sent me a brand new one totally free, over 10 years after I originally bought it.

One word of warning - If you have one and want to put your bike in a solo mode make sure you have SOMETHING to act as a brace like a luggage rack, or one day you'll gun the Valk, lean back into the back rest, and find yourself looking straight up at the sky as your rear fender collapses.

Been there, done that, had to buy Danial Meier a BBQ lunch to get that taken care of. (Thanks again Daniel!)
