Anyone one see this bike, it was posted in Wingworld? Wicked! http://wingworldmag.com/wing_featured/meet-heathen/Article says he's also a VRCC member, has he shown up at any of the InZanes? (I don't know how long the link will work for, 1 month?)

Agreed, but to each their own. I read about it in Wing World also, nice work but as stated.....not my taste. Then it struck me, if he can get his in there why not do a write-up on mine and submit it along with some pictures. Then it struck me again.....naaaahh.....too much work.

Come on John, your bike looks good. Between your bike in your profile, and that GL1200, write them both up, and submit. Would be nice to see a few more Valkyrie items in that magazine. In shop talk, there is almost no more posts on the GL1500 Tech tips, only the GL1800. They have moved on past what I was riding. Even my local GW group I ride with, no one rides a 1500 anymore. Between the GL1800, HD and the Victory, with a few scoters (Pacific Coasts, and older riders) and a few V-twins now (liter bikes), things are a changing.

I just got an email back from the former owner, my friend, a former Nascar driver, Dennis Collins. He lives in Grand Junction-Clifton
he remembered that he sold that black valkyrie some years ago with a trailer.
Dennis' handle was cma1. His yellow trike has a bunch of I love Jesus stuff on it. (Hence CMA1 lol) Kinda interesting that the Black Valk is now named Heathen ?

Now that along with the Valk might make an interesting piece. Just have to wait until I'm done with the 1200 then revisit the project.

Good Morning all VRCC brothers. Yes that is my bike, and yes Oss I did buy it from Dennis Collins. Although I did not mention his name in the article, he emailed me last night and said that a bunch of his friends recognized him and his '03 Valkyrie and had sent him the article. And, yes you guys need to submit an article to Wing World with pics, they are great to work with, and it only takes a half hour or so to write an article like this. I have another custom Valkyrie, and I will also submit an article to Wing World showcasing this bike. I would post a pic here but it is virtually impossible. I did submit a picture for the VRCC Calendar but never heard back from anybody. And, yes Gordon, I did attend InZane in Asheville, and had a blast. I am a working man, with few days off, but will be retiring soon. My "Heathen" is a real eye catcher, and draws a crowd everywhere I go. I ride most weekends. If I can ever help any of you let me know, and I do make knives as a hobby. BigBF spent about 5 days here this Fall and went over both bikes with a fine tooth comb. He is a great Valkyrie mechanic. Both my Valks are in perfect shape and run perfect. You guys take care and if I can ever help you let me know. I'm in north central Alabama.

Thank you for the post. Would love to see a couple of pictures added to this thread if you have then, so others who don't want to follow the link, or when/if the link goes bad, they can still see what you have done. It looks great. Now I know the theme there with all the knives. Just need a rifle boot to go along with those bullets too. (ps: I've my copy of Wingworld, which will end up in some Dr office one day, if you want extra copies, I can try to get it to you, maybe IZ17 this year?)

CaribouHunter, yes posting pics here is a pain. I couldn't do it for years till my friend Wiggy helped me out. He posted this a while back. Check it out and see if it helps. If there is any way I can help, just pm me. Congratulations on the article. http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,85788.0.html
