Personally I wouldn't ride there. Too much activity from too many directions. He is very lucky.

Well, I wouldn't say that the biker is necessarily at fault here,  Once he became airborn, he had no way to control the bike.  Jeep driver could have stopped.  It's off road, so I'm not sure if jeep's insurance would cover it, and dirt biker prolly got nothin' for insurance.  Either way, jeep hood's probably only a couple hundred bucks.  Dude's lucky the jeep wasn't 3 feet further along.

Even another foot would have been bad. I think the guys standing at the top of the hill should have waved the riders off.

I thought he landed it pretty well!
If you watch his shadow in the slo-mo p.o.v. he cranked it full vert at the last sec (when he knew impact was inevitable) & basically wheelied off his hood from 100ft out!
Pretty impressive save IMO.
(I'd have probably "pitched it" & pounded sand)
Thanks for postin', I luv stupid human tricks 2funny

places like this need better directional input and signs instead of free for all go anywhere.  A few sand dune places I visited like this all had one way use areas so these bad situations are less likely to happen.

Yup, very dangerous. My son-in-laws best friend died in a head on collision on the Or. coast dunes just over a year ago. Two quads coming over the hill. Never knew what hit him.
