Well...it's official, I'm Valk-less.   Sad

Sold it yesterday.  Club member Chrisj CMA (Jeff) came and picked it up yesterday and trailered it back to his home (in the rain) where it will reside along side his spotless Red & White in his family room.

Broke my heart to see it go, but it was well past time to let it go.  I haven't been able to ride it in over a year or more and there's no sense in letting it set any longer....so to a new home it went.

Put my heart and soul into that bike.   angel

I know that it went to a good home to a club member that will ride it and treat it like it should be.  Have fun with it Jeff.   cooldude

btw...I took a couple pics of it going, but for some reason, I can't get them transferred off of my phone.  Oh well.

Always considered your bike to be one of the best looking bikes on this site.

Sorry you had to let her go, but at least you know, she couldn't have got a better home to go too.

It was meathead, it was.  However, it's definitely going to a good home.

Letting it go sucks, but letting it go to someone that you know will love it is a good feeling. I've never met a group of riders and owners that connected with a motorcyle like we have with the Valkyrie. The bike will be in good hands and will still make many more poop eating grins for days to come.

Its too bad you had to let it go. It is a great looking bike and it did go to a good home. I'll bet he'll let you ride it when able.

I'm sure he would Patrick, but at this point, I seriously doubt that I'll ever be able to ride much of anything more than a light dirt bike or a moped ever again.

I have always admired your Valk from afar, BF.... having owned mine for going on 16 years I can  somewhat imagine how tough it was for you to see it go. I'm glad you found her a good home though...by all accounts here it couldn't have gone to a better one. cooldude

Sorry to hear that you had to part with your beloved Valk, BF. As others have said, it will be well taken care of. It sure is a beauty!

Is there a chance you can do like Solo did and find a suitable alternative....like a convertible(Miata or other)?

It was a good thing you did letting a member who cares have the Valkyrie

It's a fine looking dragon indeed.

Im with those who hope someday you get to visit and ride it around some

Dan, hang tough, good days may still be in your future.

BF - I too am happy that it went to him. From one good man to another good man. That is the way things should be.
Count me in as another person who thinks that Valk is one of the best looking Valks out there. Very tastefully done. Well done, sir!

Ya I hear you. I really didn't want to sell my 1998, chromed out STD. But like you it went to a friend in our riding group, so I get to see it when ever we go on a trip. I sold it to get my 2014 Maroon 1832 Valkyrie and that is my baby now. The 1832 motor was just to hard to pass up, and it is worth it. Besides I have my 1975 GL1000 to ride for those day rides and really love the looks and WOWS that it gets also, stay on this web site good conversations and good people here. Life is good RIDE ON.........

I wasn't going to post about it until Bruce did.  Yes Buddy, It will have a good home.  Went through everything today and cleaned her up a bit after that nasty rain.  I will send (or post) pics of her travels and adventures going forward.

So far she seems quite happy side by side with another 97 that used to be the same color with......lol

do not give up BF,  a scooter is ONLY 250-350 lbs. depending on size of course.  A good 250cc scoot can still go 70 mph and pass Harleys up still putting a smile on your face.. Grin

Yep, it's the black Valk in the bottom of my posts.  When it went to Jeff's, it was set up for 2 up with the trunk.

I think Jeff is going to ride it solo like in the pic most of the time as he already has a red and white set up for him and his wife.
