I went out to the garage to take a pic of the carb synch screws. When I was putting the linkage cover back on I noticed on the mount for the radiator it looked like it was just a bolt without a nut on it. This pic is not so good but, is there supposed to be a nut on the bolt ?

The radiator mount is a threaded stud, but nothing is attached.

Thanks, it didn't look like there had been a nut on there.

We might be able to determine if you've lost marbles, but if you need help answering that question, you're best to find someone local to give you a hand.  Roll Eyes

C'mon, baldo doesn't just belong to meathead, and besides, we know he's around here somewhere!

It didn't take me too long to notice the "missing" nut on my Valkyrie's radiator mount, so I bought and installed a stainless steel nut and washer before learning that there was never any nut there to go missing.

Sorry my friend, I'm a pretty busy guy this time of year. Don't have time to sit around playing on the interwebs.

I'm pleased as punch that you're thinking of me. We'll be fast friends before you know it..... Wink Wink

I'm not sure if I put a nut on there or not, I'll have to look. When I
got my eBay Valkyrie, it was tired and had been softly crashed a few times
(the tins are all good).

The radiator was "knocked askew" (I don't remember the exact
details from ten years ago) and I fiddled with it to get it back to
what seemed right.

But I do remember the stud...

Missing or not, in reality it might look good with a chrome or stainless acorn on it. Maybe you will be the only one that knows its there,, then again it could be a one of a kind cooldude (except for mine 2funny)
