My last post was in regards to the 74 year old homeless vet. My comment ended with me saying, if what I said is deleted, I will delete my account. It was deleted, so I'm gone. Ride safe my brothers....

I hate to say it, but it's really your loss...not ours. Wish you'd stick around, but if you feel that strongly about it, then see ya.

When one chooses to violate the Rules of the Road it is the staff that will decide whether or not the post is to be removed.
If one issues an ultimatum it does two things. One is that it shows the poster realizes the post at least very likely violates the Rules of the Road. Additionally it almost guarantees that it will be removed. I, for one, do not react positively to ultimatums.
BF is right.

We are all guests here. Their arena, their rules.
They are really not all that restrictive or hard to live with, and not usually rigidly enforced.
And something else..... with a little creativity and thought, you can make almost any strong statement you want on any issue, and still not violate the rules.

I saw that post, and my first thought was, you just hung a red flag out in front of a bull.
It seems that it was deleted.
Like others mentioned, this isn't our house, we are invited guests. They make the rules, and we either play nicely, or measures will be taken.
Think of it more as a family. It can be dysfunctional at times. The crazy uncle can be a bit to handle. We can also have the drunk, who will say or act wrong. We even get the member who dis-owns us, because of something that was said/done. But in the end, we all love each other, and they are always welcome to come back.
I wish you well, and hope you think it over. You don't need to participate in chats you don't want to. I have only recently been reading the General threads on a regular bases, always stuck with the Tech section to better understand the Valkyrie.

I'm embarrassed to admit I've had more than 1 or 2. I personally don't think Bulldog wanted to come here and talk motorcycles and life to begin with.

Dont think he was a touchy feely type of guy most every post was confrontational. I am sorry he is gone and hope he would come back I would love to hear some stories that I'm sure he has. He is no spring chicken either and I wonder if we all can get more stuck in our ways as we age.

I didn't delete his your post or even see it, but if I had from what I understand I would have pulled it also. Play nice or stay home. I am not one to take ultimatums lightly either.

As others have said, it will be your loss if you decide to leave, as there are many fine folks here and a wealth of information on the Honda Valkyrie.
It appears you have only been here for 8 months so you may have insufficient information on to base your decision upon, but as a member with nearly 20 years invested in this club I will tell you that you are missing an opportunity to interact, meet and ride with some of the finest folks I have ever had the pleasure to know.
When you are a guest in someones house and trample over their rules you should expect repercussions and that is on you. Consider taking a step back and a deep breath and re adjusting your approach a little. You will be glad you did.

You can save face by creating a new moniker and attitude while you're at it. We have had a number of hotheads who have threatened to leave as you have, then reconsidered and returned with a new name. Not that THAT doesn't violate the rules as well... But if you do it only once it's like a 2nd chance. I could name a couple who have done that more than once.

He's not kicked out, he left willingly because a post of his got pulled, he could just start posting again. I didn't see the post that got pulled, but he didn't seem like someone who'd need to "save face", Ida know... if you are only used to "the regular Internet" and then show up here where there's some amount of decorum required, it might take a little getting used to. I hope he comes back and accepts (and appreciates) the hard job the moderators do. There's a TON of value in the people and the information on this board... -Mike

I myself, can’t think of one person I don’t like on this board, there are a good mix of people, opinions, talents, compassionate, supportive people. They might not tell what you want to hear, but there is allot of honesty floating on this board. I myself, had to stand in the corner for my expressions; I guess if you dance to the music, you got to pay the fiddler. If you decide to stay, and you need someone to vent on or think you will cross the line, just PM me, and I will listen.

As I said in a previous post , "We dont agree on much sometimes but that's ok , because we can ". I don't hold a'grudge' I don't have time for that kind of thing but I would ride with anyone on this board . Yes our politics may be different but again ,...that's ok . I have learned alot from this group of Valkyrie folks and I have had to take a step back from time to time to 'see' , to understand the views of others . As always JMHO . Ride safe Roadog
