Why is it there are so many not found errors logging on to this website.  I have no issues with logging on to any other site.....only the VRCC?????
Usually, after trying a few times it connects.....just wondering.

What gives?

It's been happening for a while now. For me it seems the worst in the morning. I think Willow may be absconding with our dues money. I think he recently vacationed at Ritz in California.  2funny

Serk had posted an alternate address that sometimes works when the regular one won't.

This kind of thing has happened before, and the cause is probably
some boring computer thing...

But... there is a current disruption in the force: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/project-zero/issues/detail?id=1139

It has to do with the "proxy sites" spread all over the place that keep the Internet
fast and fault-tolerant.  Google "cloudflare" to read something about it other than the
link I posted... probably not related to our outage,  but still, a big deal to the whole Internet...

If Willow took off with the VRCC dues money, he wouldn't get out of Olathe!

Been happening to me most of the day today. Truth be told I don't visit the forum much lately because this happens about 20% of the time I try and view the board. Sure hope a fix is in the making.

truthfully the board is down for me more than it works

which is a shame as I like checking in

Mostly nothing after the valkyrieriders.com site   will be found or load regardless of what computer or phone I use and I know my connections are ok on my side

the general board is just mostly snafu any time of day.

Its enough to make me consider facebook

and loading PM take even longer if it works at all

I've been trying since 8:00AM to get on the boards and just now was successful. That's over 14 hrs. of getting the "Server Not Found" message from Firefox. Each time I would click on the "Try Again" button at least 10 - 12 times with no joy. Then about a half hour later I would do it all over again.
Getting to be not worth the effort and time to try to keep track of what's goin' on. tickedoff

Almost half the time that I try to get on here, the server is not found.  It's even gotten 'lost" in the middle of my posting.

Lately I've been spending more time on Facebook.  I hope this site doesn't continue to be this unreliable.

Hi Wayne, While I applaud you making that transition to FB. I see all the drama that thing causes and all the crap that is on it and I just can't bring myself to having any part of it.  There have been several situations that I "had" to be on Facebook to use a certain feature of a website and I just close out the website and move on. Not gonna do it. I will just use this site when it's working I guess.

I've had the same issue a few times. If you get the ERROR page Don't keep clicking on the retry button. Close out your browser and then open and try again. Seems to help.

I am on here at least once or twice a day. I have not experienced this problem. I am in Jonesboro Ga. a burb 15 miles south of Atlanta on Comcast internet. Don't know if my location or service has anything to do with it, just reporting no problem here.

Dave, yeah, I know. This is the second time that I've tried Facebook.

In my case, it does help me keep in touch with most of my relation as they're scattered all over the country..  I also like that I have rider friends on it, seems more like what the VRCC used to be, but that's my take.

However, i'm not too fond of a recent addition of a motorcycle special Facebook club on Facebook.  It isn't my favorite.

I have been on FB since the beginning. It does not consume me and it is enjoyable and it seems I am able to avoid the drama. Its just another forum. No more drama than here far as I can tell. I like both.

That has pretty much been my experience. Doesn't matter if I am at home, work or on my cell.

I've developed a theory...

I think the VRCC server runs on the tears generated by political arguments.

It seems whenever the political arguments die down the server starts misbehaving again, once the political arguments fire up again, the server seems to run a lot smoother again...

Hmmm...

You didn't have problems today, did you?  I thought we got it handled.  It's been pretty screaming for me today.

Connie,
Yes I had the same problem today. "Server not Found" message all morning. I only got here just now by going in through the "1800 Tech Board" link on the VRCC Homepage. I normally try to get here by using the Valkyrie Forum Index address in my Bookmarks which I have been using for years. I don't normally go to the VRCC Homepage. By the way, I have tried that 1800 link before and had no luck. Just so happens it worked this time.
