Such big hoopla over it really surprises me. Where was all the indignity when the previous POTUS was shown numerous times with his feet/shoes all over the furniture. Sitting in the oval office at his desk with his feet propped up on the desk, or sitting on the same couch with his feet on the coffee table. Never a remark or comment....until now re. Kelly Ann Conway and her feet on the couch. I can't tell if she has shoes on or not, don't really care. Just wondering why I guess. ???

If it weren't for double standards some folks wouldn't have any standards at all...

(Oh, and they weren't this upset when Monica was on her knees in the Oval Office...)

They don't have successful women on their side so they try to tear down women on the right any chance they get.

Look how awful they're treating Mrs Trump and Ivanka Trump.  And you know what's even worse, it's the women on the left who are doing this mostly.  All over facebook groups of women are posting terrible things about other women.

and Monica wasnt pulling the train

Liberal women like liberal men have a double standard that is just the way it is Gary

Save your breath, do the right thing and dont shop where the people are not supportive of our government  thats my plan anyway

really, I dont believe anything on mainstream media without double checking anymore

and kids in my neighborhood are calling each other n---a this and that who arent even  black, wearing pants way down still and reek of bad dope cause nobody cares  meanwhile deblasio just gave 13 M to pay for free lawyers (Legal Aid- Legal Services) to beat up Landlords who are owed rent.  No Judges available to try cases for another week now  At 80000 cases a year that is a lot of suffering landlords in the Bronx

Heh, funny how people learn and grow over time, when Bill was getting his knob polished in the Oval Office I was an adamant liberal Democrat Clinton supporter/apologist...

(And the legal issue with THAT whole thing wasn't that he was getting a little side action. The issue is that he committed perjury by lying about it while under oath.)

Agreed. But that doesn't change the fact that many conservatives were beside themselves with indignance. (Some very hypocritically)

It is a good question. What is the big deal. It's because it Kelley Ann. If it had been hillary, no one would care.

Because there will be bad news about the Trump presidency published in the media every single day, whether it's true, or contrived or just made up.  It's their mission and their holy grail.

Oss, I know what you're saying, I didn't see it on Facebook(don't do FB), don't recall where. My point was simply that nobody has ever said much of anything re. prior POTUS and where they planted their feet, so what's the big deal with KellyAnn doing it while trying to take a picture. Now if she had a dog or cat on the couch, then I'd be upset.

I've never allowed animals on any furniture....including beds. It's an animal and the only kind I've ever allowed was wearing a skirt, for a while anyway.  Wink  I've even PO'd visitors, mostly grandkids, by insisting their pets stay on the floor. One daughter-in-law of Rita's got so indignant over that she told me "I'm tempted to sleep in the garage with my Poodle if she can't sleep with me on the bed." I told her it's fine with me, as long as the Poodle doesn't climb onto the air mattress with you. She lost, the dog slept in the laundry room, she slept on a bed. I make it a point to bring it up nearly every time they visit, really pisses her off, I really don't care. I'll be 80 next year, I don't care about a lot of things anymore.....except stupidity.  2funny

I've never allowed animals on any furniture....including beds.
As I've always said, "to each his own". My dad had similar thoughts but didn't allow animals in the house even.
In my life now our animals (two Great Danes, a Lab, and an orange cat) have free range of our house.
The picture hubcapsc posted of the lady with the dog and cat on her lap is very typical of my wife!

I think no less of John on his thinking on this subject. Again, to each his own.

However, don't quite know what to think about the following quote...
It's an animal and the only kind I've ever allowed was wearing a skirt, for a while anyway.  Wink
Don't really know how to take this...

I'm having flashbacks of the Woody Allen movie where a shrink was having an affair with a lamb and dressed it up in lingerie.

I'm hoping I'm taking it the wrong way...

Yep no complaints from the administration and that is all that matters.  Everyone get comfortable.  I have my feet up on my desk all the time in the thinking and contemplation position.  If I was Pres. I would do the same.  In fact my golden/lab mix Finn would be with me in that room greeting everyone ( bet he could find a lot of people to play his favorite games of tug of war or jumping in the air to catch toys ) and if he wanted lay on the sofa, which he always does - well hey go for it buddy.

Hey TXBoho, I remember that  Grin , here's my only interest taken in better times, at least better than the present. You can't tell it here but I'm helping her stand for more than a couple minutes. She's now down to 82lbs.. It's worrisome.  Sad

As for animals/pets on the furniture, it's a personal thing going back more years than I can remember but had a bad ending at the time. My wife, however, goes the other direction so we kinda meet in the middle....only certain places are they allowed; a couple old chairs, an older couch which we plan to replace sometime anyway. No pets at present, hope to change that in the not too distant future.  cooldude

Whew!!

Thanks for clearing that up!
(Just pulling your chain a bit...)

As far as the animals, again, to each his own. When I said ours "have the run of the house" it can be read as "terribly spoiled". I'd like to say it's all the wifes fault, but I'd be lyin'.

I wasn't going to respond to this because I didn't think her feet on the couch was an issue, but I have changed my mind for a very important and different reason.

This is a bait and switch by the liberal media and There is something much better happening here that the news media used her feet as a distraction or cover up. So as not to report a true story and a wonderful thing Trump is doing for HSBC. Much more than Obama ever did and the Democrats are furious and it doesn't fit the narrative of the liberals. Watch until the end  cooldude cooldude cooldude

I did not see Darksiders post but it doesn't matter the video lets you see the truth.
