Why is an IS with the trunk removed called a "Super Valk"? What creates or has to be done to make an IS into one? This may just be a stupid question but just one I've been trying to figure out.

I would guess it is because it is two bikes in one when the Supervalk mods are done.

An Istate with the trunk removed is just a trunkless Istate.  A Supervalk is an Interstate that has had the modifications so that the trunk can be removed or added within just a few minutes.

Usually, in addition to removing the trunk it is converted to a solo bike by deleting the passenger seat. If they can be found, adding a luggage rack to the rear fender is a nicee touch as well.

Personally, I love the look and hope to have an Interstate converted to a Super Valk soon.







BTW: If anyone has a luggage rack for the rear fender that they'd like to sell send me a PM.

as opposed to a single seat Valk I saw at IZ in Johnson City
(Matt- Truckracer? who makes the o rings sets)
where he moved the trunk up so it became the backrest for the solo seat

I think it was a two tone green 99  sorry I lost all my old pics when last computer crashed
including the side by side one of Joe and Detn8er on the dragon sharing a lane in a twisty
