Orange though?  8K is about right but tad bit more if in mint condition.  that is exactly how I would equip my goldwing as well if the time comes?  seen a nice 2001 wing somewhat local been sitting on it all this winter with new tires on it for 7900 about same mileage.  been itchin to ride there to go test drive it soon.   I doubt dealer will go down much lower this time of year since just bought a 97 magna private party under 2K (dealer would ask 2400) after visiting and test driving 3 cycle dealers and all 3 would not budge lower than 50 bucks off their asking price since all 3 said they will get their price come April even though all 3 bikes looking at are 300-500 more asking price than realistically what they are worth.  Drove a kawi vulcan 500 good shape for 1999 asking price in reality IMO a 1700 bike all day long.  I asked bottom dollar on it since was going to buy and salesman said maybe can go down to 1950- big deal - NOT!

  I belive the 2001 and 2002 had a recall on the frame for some needed welding.
   Check that out on the e-mail interaction ingredients forum.

The VIN # given to a dealer can show what was done on any recalls, including the frame issues.
