For those of you who may have an interest, Rabbit Hash is officially back open as of today.

One year later: Rabbit Hash General Store reopens after fire

Rebuilt 185-year-old landmark reopens after fire

RABBIT HASH, Ky. – After the iconic Rabbit Hash General Store nearly burned to the ground last year, its caretakers set out to rebuild the 185-year-old landmark with the same look and feel.
After literally rising from the ashes, the store reopened Saturday afternoon with special ceremonies to mark the occasion.

Mary Unterreiner, president of Rabbit Hash Historical Society, said seeing the store open again was “inexplicable."

"It's just been a very long year,” Unterreiner said. “It's been very surreal. I feel like today has been more surreal than the day it burned down.”

Some fun roads to ride in the area.

Me and a buddy are planning a trip down to Rabbit Hash as soon as we can get a nice weekend.  Except we have to plan the ride so he can get morning coffee at a Starbucks.  A Harley rider needing Starbucks.  Good Grief.

I'll be going to Cincinnati this spring to visit family. I just might have to make a little side trip.

I would encourage you to make time for such an adventure.   Some fun twisty roads in the area, nice river scenery and some good food at the Rabbit Hash store.   Worth the effort.   Tell ya what, post when you are going to make that trip or let me know and I'll make the effort to meet you there.    First round of iced tea is on me.   cooldude

He may have a tough time finding a parking place at the Starbucks due to all the BMWs......
