Bump Boy I am sooooo looking forward to this ride. As usual, the 4 days I will be working this week have filled up with what seems to be an almost impossible lists of tasks to complete. Busy ,busy , busy. I need a break.  Come on Friday.  Doesn't look like our 2 favorites for Maryland will be making it. I talked with Eric last week. I Guess we can peel off after lunch and get spirited on the way back to the motel.  |

Finalized Route Information.
All, I modified the route some for lunch. The way I have it set up, we probably won't be stopping for lunch until 1-2pm time frame. So plan accordingly.
Lunch will also be where we stop for gas, approximately 116miles. We will have some stops in between that for piss breaks and such.
Lunch will be by the Walmart in Logan WV, a lot to choose from:
McDonalds
KFC
Bob Evans
Reno's Roadhouse
Captain D's
Burger King
Arby's
Hacienda Mexican
China City Buffet
Gatti's Pizza
After lunch everyone is free to go there own way. Folks who wish to go back to the motel quickly can take 119
We will have a group go to Devil Anse Hatfield's burial site, for those who think they can make the hike up the hill to see it.
I'll be taking a spirited group back to the motel who wish to enjoy some twistiness.

Not to change the menu....I mean subject. The T shirts must be ordered today, Tuesday, if you want it for the ride. We will hand them out Friday Evening after we arrive at the hotel. Steph just called me and said that she will take your order up until 10:00 pm CST tonight. Thanks everyone. |

Howdy fellow Valkers, It was such a pleasure meeting and greeting all my old friends and meeting new ones here in my little piece of heaven in Eastern Kentucky. I sincerly hope that everyone had a most wonderful time on the Hillbilly Ride #3 thru our neck of the woods. It was such a pleasure having you come to Pikeville that I am looking forward to Reb and the guys putting together another fabulous ride AGAIN NEXT YEAR HERE IN PIKEVILLE !!! The ride next year will be a real dandy as so many of you got a very small taste of our hospitality. I hope it met or exceeded your expectations. The weather had me worried---BUT---it was typical Kentucky----very little rain and nice temperatures, great roads, good food, and wonderful friends. WHO COULD HAVE ASKED FOR MORE ??? There is so much history of the area and I invite you to watch the movies of MATEWAN and THE HATFIELD-MCOY FILM STARRING Kevin Costner. Both are recommended viewing to show you a small portion of the history places you rode thru. I know that CB radios are old school and all, BUT I was hoping to inform you the fellow riders of some of the fascinating scenery and a small commentary of what you were seeing. It would have made the trip better. Just a thought as I am not called Gabby for nothing. There is just so much you saw that has some real stories that I think you would have enjoyed. I guess that I am old and set in my ways of telling stories and history. Once again---THANK YOU FOR VISITING AND HOPE YOU HAD AS MUCH FUN AS I DID....IT WAS A FUN BLAST !!!!! Gabby

This wasn't my first trip through your neighborhood, In fact I think my BIL and I stayed at that same motel (or the bigger one up the road, can't remember) many years ago while riding around the area. I usually come through there on my way home from the FCR. I might bring the trailer next year and hot some of those yard sales along 23, I hear Theresa is looking for a nice credenza.
