Just before I got on I-55 S I fueled. When I fuel I stand her straight up to git in every drop In it I can. Got onto the I and proceeded to notch er back. Wuz one of THOSE days-Perfect EVERTHING! Held er at very near or over 100 M P H fer aways-which B T W turned out to be bout 122 124 miles to reserve. Just a smidge over 20 M P G. Ya wanna play ya gotz ta pay!  2funny And wonder of wonders-NO high speed drivin award.  Roll Eyes I wuz in Illinois after all!  uglystupid2 The absolute Best M P G I ever achieved was near 38. Watching how hard I didn't accelerate not exceeding 65 M P H indicated watching how I stopped then stared again!  Lips Sealed BORING!  2funny I'd rather RIDE!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

I've a reputation for pushing the limit.  My motto for fuel is, "Fill it to the top. Run it to the bottom."  If you never go to the bottom you don't really know where it is.  I have forty-three miles at seventy mph indicated from the time I turn to reserve until it's all gone.

I have miscalculated a few times but every time was when I was riding absolutely alone.  I've never inconvenienced anyone else with it.  There was that time, maybe two, when I had both myself and mama deep into reserve and running up to the pump on fumes.
