Bike fall (was it a tank slapper)? For one second I thought he would recover doing a 360.

That's a tank slapper.

I've had a couple like that, but slower speeds, and recovered.

Hard to say what caused it though.

He didn't appear to be going very fast.

Wonder if rear tire failed?

I was passing two Hardleys coming back from a VRCC ride one year and mine started doing that at around 124mph......I raised my butt off the seat, applied some rear brakes, and it came back out of it...I was holding the bars so hard, the handlebars couldn't reach the tank...the whole bike was "swishing" side to side....it didn't even bother me much until I got home and realized how close I came to buying the farm

At 124 ? I'd still be cleaning my seat.  Shocked

Indeed it seems to be a chronic issue:

Read news report that the woman was recording the bike because she had seen the bike wobble 4 or 5 times previous to the catastrophic wobble.

Begs the question as to why the rider was determined to achieve wobble speed???

My buddy Randy's Harley did that while he was passing an 18 wheeler... but it
was because his spokes were loose. He replaced his spoke wheels with cast
wheels.

Some modern things are better than old fashioned things... all those people
sitting around on Southern verandas would have screened them in 200
years ago if they could have...

A while back, couple years ago, my I/S began having wobble issues. As long as I had both hands on the bars, even lightly, no issues. Take both hands off and the wobble began. Grab the bars and it would disappear. Wouldn't even feel a shake. Spent some time trying to find the cause and eventually had the dealer, after a complete mess by my previous mechanic, replaced the head bearings and, tada, no more wobble.
However shortly before I took it to the dealer. even taking one hand off the bars would begin the wobble. Sometimes. Not always and it seemed that certain roads would give not a single problem while other certain roads would be nothing but wobble issues.
I noticed in the video that he was riding at the time with only one hand on the bars. I'd bet that if he had both hands on them from the start it wouldn't have wobbled but once it started he was pretty much screwed.
Clearly he was having issues with it prior to the wreck. He should have known that continuing on at that speed would not end well.
