Had a great 4th of July. Hope everyone else did too.

Fireworks caught my bathroom on fire!

Got it put out before it reached the house.  Wink

Come on now, this northern boy remembers going to an out house at his grandmothers farm.  But I don't recall, ever taking a bath in it...   Wink

Don't want to give you a wrong impression, but we've sure come a long way since you were a boy . We were about to dig a new one anyway a little further down the path since the weather got so warm.

I had an outhouse next to my Incirlik AB Turkey office, an ancient Quonset hut (with no plumbing).

It was cement block, and one stall even had a toilet instead of the bomb site holes in the floor.

I kept seeing this white powder all over the place in and around the outhouse, and asked a local maintenance man about it.

He said it was snake repellent, because they had a big Viper that lived nearby, and it liked the water on the floor of the outhouse.

It was only a few minute drive home, so I said sayonara to the outhouse with snake repellent (so I could read my Stars and Stripes in peace).
