If you know how to replace a stator it is a nice looking bike. I do not know if it has a bad stator. Back in the early 90s, to have a none Honda shop replace a stator was $800+. My GL1200 would eat a stator about every 40,000 miles. Honda eat the cost of the first one. I paid to have the second one done. I did the third one my self. The plug was by passed on the second stator.

Just sent the link to my daughter in the Green Bay area, about 33 miles away. Her hubby needs to get rid of the 1100 he has, it's a real junker.

It will likely have a salvage title.

Riding buddy of mine has an 1100 with rotted out Cobra pipes. He never has maintained it and thinks it's just the nuts. It to is a POS and sounds as bad as it looks. I won't let him ride in front of me, and I can hear him behind me.
