Say What You mean Mean What You Say

Rockyview County, Alberta 2001 Interstate

Is there an easy way to check the wire connections for conductivity. I just want to make sure the wires are not the issue...where do the connecting wires run to from the alternator so I can just do a test light check(Interstate)
Also...is the Golwing unit the same capacity as the Valk Interstate.
Thanks

You  might get a better and quicker answer to this on the Tech Board.

I can't answer your original question.

I can tell you that a Goldwing alternator will work if you "Turn the Clock".

There is info on the tech board about how to do that.

Thanks, I have seen a few comments about 'turning the clock'... looks simple enough. I was just wondering if the I/S uses a higher output unit than the standard/tourer.
I spun the armature by hand...bearings run smooth, no play at all. The rubber cush blocks look good.
Going to repeat the post on the Tech Board.
