After my V A appt in West Plains today I had some other runnin to do in town. Just fer yuks and giggles I stopped at the newer/new Toyota dealership. Pricing out new pickups which I found a I can git into a base Tundra V-8 for bout 33 G. Salesmen met me on the lot and then we went inside. Remember we had Severe Flooding back in April and May. Only thing on the floor is a Very Nicely restored 71 Ford F150 long bed. A Beautiful maroon and cream color combo. The we went into the shop area and he pointed out the high water mark(s)-in excess of 3 FEET in the building and he showed me one of the newer-2000S?-thunder chicken that still had mud inside and the high water mark on it was over the dash. I would NOT want it but they have money from an arab country for some one who wants it. Now to the it's alright to cry part.  Behind one of the corner lifts and I didn't Know fer sure What it was til I wuz almost on top of it because of the way the lift and this car were positioned. This one also had had water above the dash and the owner was having it redone on site and it hurt almost as much as missing Inzane. I was looking at what had been a fully restored 1956 Ford Thunderbird Convertible Hard Top-round port holes- that is Fire Engine Red with a Red and White trimmed interior with a full width continental Kit on it. The owner of this fine-well soon be fine again-owns the Ford dealership and the Toyota dealership. ANY natural disaster has ZERO pride and could care LESS who you are or what you are. Priceless items or brand new items-natural disasters chew em up spit em out and move on to do more damage. At least the Five Six T-Bird weren't washed away like some new and good used vehicles were. Tsk...tsk....now boys!    Ross, I know that feeling re. the T-Bird. When I got transferred to New Hampshire, Pease AFB, in '59, there was a "like new" '56 advertised in the local paper. Just for kicks I went to look at it, mostly because the price was well below market...it was only 3 yrs. old. From a distance it was pristine, but soon as I opened the door it bowled me over. Long story short....a local guy had died in it and nobody found him for quite a while. I checked with various shops in the area to see if it could be recovered, found out they had already looked at it and passed, told me there wasn't any way to get the smell out without tearing the insides completely out. Then would involve heated pressure washing at a minimum with no guarantee it would work. I also passed on it, the family finally had it crushed after pulling the running gear, car had less than 10k on it. The local paper even had a picture of the crushed car....showed a before and after.

Those tundras are pretty awesome. I'm on my second one. Mine is a 2017 crew max SR5 TRD. Mine was quite a bit more than 33k though. My last one , an 05 SR5 crew max was 33k brand new when I bought it. Put 225k miles on that one and I just seen it yesterday in town still going strong.
