Doesn't seem to phase them in the least cause here we are with North Korea shooting off missiles and threatening nuclear warfare.

I think the best thing that can be said is that up til now, even with the tensions the Cold war with the Soviet Union, that no one EVER launched a nuclear device in anger (after we dropped the two on Japan to end WWII).

I'm really afraid that nutjob is going to make us do something we really do not want to do.

I hope very much that we do not take a nuke first. Hopefully the DOD can perfect the anti-missile - missile structure, and all that goes with that.

And I hope to GOD that Trump has the diplomatic savvy to WORK with Russia and China so we don't start a world wide nuclear exchange.

 As far as his military goes, they have been getting fed anti US propaganda for so long they would probably welcome a war. Don't forget that he has been starving his people and blaming it on the U.S.

I would think that his army is ready to fight, probably more so than ours. We do have the sheer size (strength),. and I believe better training on our side though.

It does not matter, a war with him would get real ugly, real fast.

If you are unwilling to stand for something, you will fall for anything.

We need a POTUS that will stand firm and use firm language against the likes of  people like Kim Jong-un.

There needs to be zero doubt in their mind and in the eyes of the world as to what will happen to them if they attack us or any of our allies.

Sometimes you have to let a person know exactly what is going to happen to them if they cross the line. And you cannot do like Obama and redraw the line every time that it is crossed.

I do not believe that President Trump or anyone in his cabinet has ruled out the possibility of a diplomatic solution to the North Korean problem.

It is the words and actions of Kim Jong-un that are most detrimental to the possibility of a non military solution, not the actions or words of President Trump.

China is the key to a diplomatic solution and it is in China's best interests to help us work towards one.

Their leaders may not publicly acknowledge this but they know that it is true.

However, President Trump and our military leaders would be derelict in their duties if they were not planning for the possibility of military action against North Korea.

I would sincerely hope that any military action against North Korea would indeed be done quickly and with a "Fire and Fury like the world has never seen".

Trump got that line from a Truman speech back in 1945.  It was stated just slightly different and some of his operatives in the WH helped put this together for him.  Over the past couple of days I have heard quite a few lines by some past presidents, excluding the previous 8 years when the world ran like a Swiss Watch or course,  that were every bit as boisterous and condemning.  It is amazing what is in archival presidential records.   And old Teddy, one of my favorites of all time, may has said this line, but he was known for cutting loose also.

I think MOAB is too BIG to be carried by the bomber fleet - they can't get it loaded and/ or dropped through the bomb bay doors, I think. That's why it is carried by a C-130  (and not really a first strike weapon).

On getting our first war shots off before N.K's first hit on target - it would be close, depending on what orders have been issued. And I would envision these coming from cruisers / destroyers and subs. Followed shortly by F/A18's and what ever the Air Force has close (probably to include F22's / F117's , maybe some B1 /B2 / B52 action) .

North Dakota is quite Nuke capable, thank you!  LOL.

When all the ICBM's were here, there were not many countries more nuke capable than ND.  Some left, but most were removed. But, with the Air Base in Minot with the bombers, we can hold our own!
