Embarrassing isn't it? I do think that if you were to ask our generation you would get much better answer.

Yep, watch 'man on the street' video of just about any subject and get about the same responses. Sad isn't it.

They don't even seem embarrassed by the fact they don't know where it is, I'm pretty sure they just think it's cool they got on TV.

To be fair, how many of us know where every country on earth is located? Not me, I have a pretty good idea but can not pin point all of them. I'm sure if you have military background you will be better at this.

OK I can understand not knowing where N Korea is but to guess the US, Canada or South America as the point is embarrassing. I really wouldnt worry either Google maps is great for this kind of thing.  Wink

It is embarrassing . I would think they would decline having their bit shown on TV. They must have signed something beforehand.  Smiley

"How many Americans know?" and "We went out on Hollywood Boulevard."  Anyone else see a disconnect here?

The vast (overwhelming) majority of the ones they showed were young females, some multiple times.  They picked and chose.  They were making an entertainment video.

I know where North Korea is.  The real question is whether North Korea can find a United States populated area.  Maybe that doesn't matter so much.  If he gets angry or desperate enough he could just hit a point in South Korea.  There are plenty of Americans there.

The world is filled with mentally unstable people.  Some of them hold positions of power.

For those of us suggesting we assassinate the North Korean potentate, I would suggest we don't want the U.S. to lead in the practice of killing heads of state.  You all remember World War I?  I'm also not in favor of arbitrarily making North Korea a slate of uninhabitable glass.  There are millions of good people mixed in with the bad guys of NK.

I never rose above the rank of E7 but even with that low level experience I can see that it's good that a lot of us aren't Commander in Chief or other ranking military advising or making critical decisions.   Wink

A far simpler solution would be to start a rumor that Kim Jong Un has incriminating information against Hillary Clinton, and is planning to testify next week, then let the problem sort itself out.

What's scary is our POTUS regularly tweets bluster and un-presidential hubris. He and Kim seem to compete in that manner. Both with their finger on the button.  I'm afraid we will see the consequence of that in the near future.  I'm recalling we actually have a law against our taking out foreign leaders. Don't recall the specifics. In any case there needs to be responsible leaders in both places.  Kim needs to get sick and expire.  Trump needs to start listening to rational advisers and STFU.

I'm surprised none of them pulled out their phone and Googled it. Of course all we saw was what they wanted us to see.
