4,000 miles of awesomeness.  cooldude Seen a lot of neat places along the way. Even had great times that meant it sucked to go ride for 350 miles.  Grin Even go home a day early.  Sad

A visit during the winter months with snow and rock contrasting is a memorable event for anyone that can make the trip.  A five star experience if it's within your grasp; there is hardly anyone there compared to the middle of the summer. Smiley

The south entrance of the Grand Canyon out of Williams Az. seems to be the busiest. This is where you can hike down or take a Burro ride down, the other two entrances do not offer this. The west entrance out of Kingman Az. has the Skywalk. it is a little pricey but your ticket does include lunch. The Skywalk itself is a bit scary till you get use to it. But the north entrance out of Jacobe Lake Az. is the best I think. It is about 1000 feet higher than the south rim and has some awsome views. And yes, in the winter time with the canyon covered with snow, it is a wonderful site! Fudgie, which entrance did you use?

We came in from the east and stayed on the south rim. We did a helicopter ride also which was fun. We could see the lights on the north rim at night. We left towards Williams.

Going in from the east it's a nice ride along the south rim for miles to the village. When I was there, you couldn't drive in from the south, you had to park and take the train.
