She kept telling me.  I guess out of habit from living in NYC.  Everytime she went to the bathroom during the DRU.

Reminded me of the wedding scene in Goodfellas when Karen asks where the bag with the envelopes it.  Henry smiles and tells her not to worry, nobody's gonna steal that bag here.

I told her that many riders in the group were "protected".  She asked why? I said to protect you.

I don't know if she got it, or she just dropped it.

Al I know is, I never felt so safe.

I'm all for going armed.

But I never agreed to watch someone's handbag.  (if I could possibly help it)

I don't carry a handbag, I have a wallet in my pants.

If you don't want to watch (carry, lug, guard) your own bag, then don't carry one.

This idea of hauling your own weight was brought home to me in the Boy Scouts, and reaffirmed throughout my lifetime.

Who every heard a guy say... hey, watch my pistol (or wallet), I got to go take a leak?

That confirms it! A picture is indeed worth at least a thousand words after all... Is he trying to flip a booger off his right index finger...?

We were at a trampoline place for the triplet's birthday party a year or two back. We had a few no-shows so we had jumper slots available.

I decided what the heck, I'll do it.

However, I didn't think it was prudent to be jumping on trampolines, crawling through tunnels, etc. with my standard sidearm on me. The spousal unit agreed.

So I took her purse and proudly walked across the trampoline park to the bathrooms, went into a stall and removed my primary weapon and holster, put it in her purse, and took her tiny weapon from her purse and slipped it into my pocket (NAA 22 Magnum PUG).

Then strode back across the place carrying her purse like a boss, gave it back to her, and proceeded to have a grand time jumping on the trampolines, crawling in the padded club houses, etc.

I did, however, get a few funny looks as I strode around with her purse over her shoulder. Oddly enough, no one said anything.

It was when I strolled on over to you at that gas/water stop that the Goodfellas analogy came to mind because you corrected me and tripled the amount of protection I thought was around me.  Any one trying to steal the envelopes would have to be insane.     Cheesy

The bags are fiberglass covered in vinyl.  They were more sturdy when first installed.  The right side bag could use some firming up where the quick release hardware is mounted.  Seems the fiberglass my be encountering micro splintering and there is movement in the bag in that area.  I will prolly have to get a couple thin pieces of flat metal to sandwich (laminate) the fiberglass and remount the hardware.  Also, after not removing the bags for a couple years. the quick release wasn't so quick as Mark and I found out when getting the bike up on the trailer and looking for better tie down spots.

Oh, and every one gets the same key.  Got the trunk 3 months after the bags, same key.  Met a guy during a Pow Wow with the same bags, same key.
