Mark (Mad6Gun) had both knees replaced Monday. Due to his Bergers Disease he will be in the hospital longer than usual because of some medical complications.  His knees are coming along fine as is the PT but we could still use some prayers as the doctors work on his other medical problems.

Prayers on the way.  Don't skimp on the Physical Therapy - that is the key to full recovery.

Dennis, I don't know. However, from what Mark said today,  I think that he might go directly to physical therapy tomorrow at another place when the docs stabilize his problems.    The PT place would keep him for up to 7 days with a strenuous therapy every day.  The patients wear their own clothes, sleep, eat, and get pushed to their limits by trained therapists.

I'm in pain just thinking about it. I know I'm lucky to not have any health problems and do feel for the several members on this forum that do.

Mark is doing better.  Rehab in hospital is proceeding. When staff decides to release him, he'll be going either to a Rehab Center or home,  don't know yet. Might be this weekend.  Thanks to all for your concerns.

Wayne, wishing Mark good luck on the recovery. Once he's back on his feet he'll feel like a new man. Keep us posted on his progress, we also send our prayers and support to his lady love. They're in this together.

I'm bored...lol..  Therapy is going well. I m getting some good range of motion at PT but it hurts Ike hell. My kidney numbers are not good but they won't release me to rehab until they are. I will be going to a rehab hospital for a week or so before I go home. I can't get out of bed by myself.  My wife would not be able to lift me up. Not to many people could.lol. I will know more tomorrow. Thanks for everyone's well wishes......

Well I have been moved from the surgical hospital to a rehab hospotal. Hopefully I'm not here to long. My Goils are to be able to get out of bed myself. I can stand into my walker. Walking is not to bad but going to take time.  I just want to go home ASAP.

Well yeah. The food here isn't that good. I don't have much of a appetite. Don't know if it's the food, the pain meds or the constipation caused by said pain meds. Either or I haven't been eating much. But I am ready to go home....

Mark , I understand the feeling of " I want it now". Take the time to heal and do the rehab.

It will get better and you will soon be home .

Patience is a another virtue that I am unfamiliar with, but from what I've heard, it will literally stand you in good stead. Time is your friend right now. Please take it!  Kiss

I visited Mark today.  He is coming along much better now. They have told him maybe Thursday, he will be coming home. His PT and Occupational therapy are doing very good in part because he's doing his best.

I go home tomorrow. Woo hoo. Will do a final PT session in the morning. Get lunch. A shower after and  then home. I met all my goils to going home. Get out of bed by myself, check. Stand up into my walker, check. Walk unassisted with said walker, check. I have been able to walk over 150 feet the last couple of days. Therapy has been hard and painful but I have to do if I want my knees to have the range of motion like before.
