Hugh Hefner passed at 91. His mag and the center folds helped out a LOT while I was enjoying the tropic wonders of Nam! Wonder has he picked a successor? RIDE SAFE.

Won't say he didn't have an impact on the "sexual revolution". I'm not sure that impact was all that good. Looking at where we are today makes me wonder if it was as good for us as we thought as young men. Although I never purchased any of his magazines, I won't deny viewing his product from time to time.
While I don't know what his religion was (if he had one), if he happened to be Muslim then he might really be in heaven now. Ya think?

In the Service I used to get razed all the time when our work load was down in the shop and the guys would all sit around and read the girly rags. I'd be sitting there paging through Field & Stream or other such mags, that being the subject of my shop mates giving me the business. So, I'd just quiet it all down by asking which one would get them through a crisis in the wilderness.....knowing how to catch or kill your food, or knowing how to bed down a beautiful woman. It was all in good fun and we had a constant thing going. One night(that lovely graveyard shift), I suddenly realized someone had gone through and ferreted out all the "good" magazines I liked and left only the girly rags. I said nothing, went to my lunchbox and pulled out a new issue of my choice.....which was followed by a collective groan.  |

Hef seemed like an alright guy to me. Was always kind of envious that he could lounge around all day drink pepsi cola by the case and just grab a beautiful woman anytime and just enjoy life. MUst be hard to have all that money and pleasure and know time is short your still gonna die. Rest in peace Hef.
