Not all seniors are set in their ways.  I, for one, read posts by Baldo and Meathead, they present the opposite views.

As for Daddio, there is a difference in debating and trolling. Daddio, IMO, is(was) a troll.   No big loss there.

I do wonder about a supposition made here.  "Old and conservative"  I wonder why that is?

Why not? The psychology of aging is well studied. As a segment of society, older folks get conservative (and not just politically) because they become wary of change.  As a group they crave stability more than a younger group. Some might term it getting smart or gaining wisdom. It's a noble thing that adds stability to all our lives.  The outsized group of boomers exerts an outsized influence on society. Always has.  Strictly your call if that's good or bad.  Time and nature "just keeps rolling along" taking care of things.

Well stated  I think I am the odd duck though. I've drifted more left as I've aged. I also think our younger people deserve more credit than they get. I have a lot of confidence in them.

I've frequented forums of one sort or another for as long as there have been internet forums.   Guns, RVs, Coins, Chevelles, Political (zerohedge et al) Computers, Networking, Motorcycles, etc. etc.

I don't participate much here - and not because I'm shy.   It's the atmosphere.   Toxic.  Not conducive to healthy debate.  Willow is spitting into the wind. 

What Valkyrie content there is to be found is valuable, a rare commodity and is appreciated.  I'm content to lurk and post once in a while, but don't play.
