I think California is planning on rounding up and executing the last 9 conservatives they haven't managed to run off yet in 2030 anyway...

No joke, my best friend (and best man) moved there 30 years ago.  We grew up together, wore the same clothes, played the same sports, chased the same girls, roomed in college, and could not be more alike.  He did not serve in the military like I did, but my conservatism predated that.

We rarely speak anymore.  He was proud his son interned for the Zero.  (I said nothing, which I rarely do.)

Remember DonaldCC?  The MD/JD from CA?  We spoke on line quite a bit while he was active here (and before he passed).

One time, discussing politics, I asked him..... Just how long have you lived out there? He laughed and said..... Yeah, I get your point.

I helped him pick his first handguns, and discussed training and self defense.

When one becomes a politician do some automatically go brain dead or duz someone put something in yer kibble? All the vehicle manufacturers are gonna void your warranty No Matter HOW the 15% corn gits in yer engine but the politicians still demanding 15% corn.  uglystupid2 Does the political dufus from Cali have Any idea What and How electricity is generated? Or how batteries are manufactured and Maybe recycled? I've been to a battery recycle center in Doe Run Missouri. I do NOT want to live next door to them or work there. The battery acid Stench hangs heavy in the air. The electric vehicles are no where near where they need to be far as range and price for joe/jane average consumer. More pie in the sky bull kaka with now technology. 23 years down the road? Still doubtful. Some politicians-nah they wouldn't even do for a 3d rate paperweight! RIDE SAFE.

Read a article recently where the writer was trying to look at the power grid improvements require for MoomBeam's great idea.   Not only the power grid but the changes to homes electrical circuits.  How many cars on a average does each CA homeowner have, two or more maybe.  They would all have to be charged over night.  Think about the amount of electric that will be needed for everyone to charge their vehicles at night.   Also a lot of CA's in cities live in condos or apartments.  Major over haul require there.  Plus those who park on street, where the charging stations?  AND how does on secure their cords while charging over night on the curb?

The writer also was doing the math on how much CA would have to increase the amount of electric produce by 4-7 times amount use now.  Where is the power going to come from,  Wind? Solar?

Dennis, I believe EV's are using Li-Ion batteries now.  No acid like your standard car battery.  However I'm on the same page with you on the rest of your points. They are trying to do SOMETHING about the pollution issue - but as usual, the lib cesspool is misguided in their direction - or they legislate idiocracy w/o thinking it through / addressing the unintended consequences.  Like they're doing SOMETHING about gun issues - but doing it in a completely stupid direction.

I worked for the power co. in LA and there is no way they can generate enough power needed for that amount of ele. cars. Their power plants are dating to the 50 an 60s an getting power from Hoover dam is not reliable. Bunch of nuts there.
