Opened a can of sweet corn a couple of days ago. Used some in a Thai'ish soup I concocted.

Rest with the liquid from the can put into an airtight container and put in fridge.

I opened the container today so I could add some to a salad.

The liquid had become a thick gooey gel. Looked quite disgusting. Like something used in Ghost Busters.

Don't remember the brand and trash pickup was yesterday so I couldn't look at the can.

I think once you opened the can the water and corn started fermenting.
