for 3K with 78K miles is dark pearl blue with pearl ivory cream, matching tourer side bags with no windshield unfortunately, cobra exhaust with baffles, flaming death car tire, chrome galore in good shape, tank bib, handlebar risers, and in pretty good overall shape otherwise paint/dents/scratch wise as far as I am concerned-should clean up pretty good for the most part for a 20 year old cycle.
big issues are need to ASAP get a spring, etc. for the kickstand held on by a heavy duty bungee cord and a P.I.T.A. to put down will not go down easy enough with bungee cord holding it up, severe POP, POP, POP on left side cobra exhaust ONLY when decelerating or downshifting backfiring horribly LOUD like several gunshots going off scaring the crap out of anyone nearby even me driving, and no horn since not there push button nothing. I have not used the wimpy stock horn on my I/S much anyways and figure the LOUD cobra pipes revving them is 10x's louder to grab someone's attention like I did several times test driving it at stoplights revving it up with all looking at me like I am a hooligan.
He was asking 3200 (he said he paid 3500 this spring) but nearly begged me to take it home since has had dozens of phone calls inquiring about it the past few days posted bugging him to death , so I offered after driving it 20 miles 3K even for I know much lower and he would just get it from someone else easy enough. I figure as-is with 78K miles is worth 3500 to 4K top end, but have not seen even a Valkyrie std. with 70-90K miles for under 3K ever - not much out there in that large sized cc range to match it for only 3K right?? It ran well otherwise. So, will for now go to the darkside and test out that old car tire on it next year before deciding if that is the way to go vs. a regular cycle tire which from my 20 mile ride, a cycle tire corners much easier never have ridden a car tire before on any cycle.
I went to an auction some 4-5 years ago on a 98 tourer around 50K miles or so I believe red/cream or red/white cannot remember, was interested in needed tons more work with stock exhaust sitting in a barn for years it appeared and was willing to go then 4K but that went for at a farm auction for 4500, too much as-is in my eyes at the time.
Before winter, need to change fluids (oil, gearcase oil, brake/clutch fluids, and antifreeze) and worry about the severe popping next spring since only about 7 more weekends of riding the next 2 months before old man winter hits in late November.
supposedly all he knew about it having it just since this spring (3rd owner probably not sure) putting on 3000 miles or so is the owner before last owner (him having it 2-3 years only putting on 500 miles tops adding all that side chrome is all he said) is that guessing 1st or 2nd owner did before selling it to the guy not driving it much changed front fork seals/oil and serviced rear end is about all he knew or told me. So, taking chances but figure for 3K I can part it out with all that good chrome and body/engine parts for 2K not out much in the long run if need be. What else can put a smile on your face for 3K? - oh forget that last comment....

I have been somewhat interested the past few years on buying a lower mileage tourer with cobra exhaust but never planned on going over 4K ever, so when this one popped up locally a few days ago for 3200 with chrome goodies I figured why not test drive it and see if 3K is reasonable. It is faster than my stock I/S and for shorter trips I think the top fuel dragster sound of the cobra exhaust sounds good but who knows, I might get sick of it being too loud after awhile? Time will tell...

I might be selling my very good condition 2008 Can Am MAX 2-up 500cc ATV red color soon for 5K with only 2300 miles on it to help compensate for the 3k on this cycle - or so the wife said suggesting to me this weekend....

My 16 year old boy would anyways prefer to ride cycles over ATVing since have to trailer my ATV's over 2 hours to get to any good ATV trails and only use them 3-4 times tops per year is all so not much use anyways. Cycles are readily available and over 100 uses easily per year.
