Sometimes ya just gotta go...

Winter Springs, FL - Occasionally...

« on: October 23, 2017, 03:19:46 AM »

Well, in a manner of speaking. I'm actually in a motel in Dublin, GA, hunkered down letting some rain pass through this area. I didn't go ahead and get the room for two nights, because I don't completely trust forecasts anymore, but I did take the precaution of asking if I could stay another night if necessary... it is necessary! So, I now need to trek to the office and take care of that little item... get some coffee too...

Assuming the forecast for tomorrow and the rest of the week is even remotely close, I should be able to mount-up in the morning and point ALI southward towards Ocala... Temps are suppose to moderate down that way, too, so you can bet I'm looking forward to that! By breaking the ride up into two days, I'm able to avoid blitzing down the super slab; instead, taking some rather interesting and scenic back roads that lead... 'home'...

What happens in Robbinsville... definitely does NOT stay in Robbinsville! I'm sure others will be sharing details soon. I, on the other hand, will need some time to digest recent events, then see if any inspiration to expound ensues... can't say just now, though.

However that plays out, you can bet the farm we had a large time, and yes, there were a couple of jars of evil fluids being passed around at the traditional tire-kicking sessions! No animals, people, or property were injured or harmed in the making of this adventure... although, there were a few close calls. Ummm, and some of those involved a couple of individuals nearly falling into the fire-pit!

P.S. No prairie dog fishing or any other type game garnering to my knowledge, and no underwear washing in non-traditional ways was reported. That said, I'm still struggling with the concept of coffee pot applications for other than usual usages, and it troubles me deeply... I'm having weird dreams lately, too... Our friend, 'jig', may have scared me for life!!!

Bruce, It was great to sit and jaw for awhile with you.  Your wise console will be held in one of those easily assessable place for quick reference as my work days start to shorten and my adventure days start top lengthen.  I will put them to good use in the middle of Montana sometime next summer.  I do expect to run into you somewhere on the road next year.  I will give you one days notice just to make sure it works out. (no planning here)

Bruce, It was great to sit and jaw for awhile with you,  and I am sure that some of the untold stories will some how make to the surface the only good thing about it is there is no pictures to prove it so I didn't do it. 2funny

Hey Bruce, me and Mike rode back to Robbinsville Sunday morning because I didn't have your number, and Flask (Rick) said he didn't get my text because of the service.

I wanted to see if u wanted to come by Mikes Cabin and hang with us? I didn't head back until Tuesday after breakfast and we mentioned to u that u were more than welcome.

Well glad u got home safe, it was nice hanging with ya. Sorry I didn't get to hang around the fire at night with u guy's, but we had other stuff going on at night by Mikes place.  cooldude
