Friend of mine-Butcher at a local grocery store-had today off and after the furnace guy finished at his casa we were in the wind bout noonish or so. Let him take lead cuz I've been told by lotsa folks I tend to twist the tail a bit much!
Longest stretch today without gittin outa the saddle wuz bout 55 miles. Total roll today right bout 177 miles. Had I ordered this day it could NOT have been more Perfect. Mid to high 70s low humidity and the Only thing I would have changed wuz a bit less wind speed. The wind and the loose leaves and loose hay kept one on high alert the entire ride. J T kept a very nice pace and I really did Not mind following his 950 Yamaha V-twinky.
And in the almost 2 years since I last shared wind with him his skills have improved.
When I went outside at bout 0700 it was a frosty 34 here. And the weather guessers had it right today.
When we rolled bout noon it was already 68. T-shirt and the armored mesh sans liner. I did have an insulated pendlton in the saddle bag but Never needed it. High forecast here for tomorrow-48 degrees F!
Found my balaclava and washed it and dug my lined sheepskin snowmobile gloves out and most all my cold weather gear ready. RIDE SAFE.
