We all know about the issue in a church. The news media just doesn't get it. They want to be left alone to mourn. The media is getting pushy for some word other than get out. A woman(?) is passing out no trespassing signs. What is it about  , just let us mourn and get our heads on straight that they do not understand.  The media slammed Trump for not allowing them in on everything. Could this be why. B A C K   O F F. Not here , but on the mourners. Is a story more important than respecting a persons right to privacy. How do you feel , they ask. Well , lay your head on the ground and say hello to my sledge hammer (from me , not the mourners). They are a lower form of life. Change a couple of letters in media and you have amoeba.  A single cell form of life.

And I duz realize reporters are lookin fer a story and they have deadlines and they have bosses and I've seen that bull kaka on news stories everywhere I've been at one time or anudder. I'm with you-if a subject of an interview sez not now please THAT should be the end of it BUT as most of us are aware it rarely ends when the interviewee sez no more. Then as we've seen on news at 6 or 10 some folks go after the camera man and then git sued cuz the media wuz/are being turds. I'd say the media lacks common sense BUT That would suppose ya had some-common sense-to begin with!  uglystupid2 Dumb asses. RIDE SAFE.

If the media is ask to leave private property and does not. The owner should be allow to remove them any way possible without  incurring any liability.

And the owner should be allowed to bill and collect from them for any damages.

It's easy to blame the media and reporters.  Truthfully they're producing a product to be sold to the public.  If the public, including most of us, wasn't buying they would not be pursuing.

We have found the enemy and he is us.

I don't watch or care much about the "news".  It doesn't make me completely innocent.  I was once well among the numbers that justified their advertising dollars.

My point was if I ask you to leave me alone to mourn , then leave me alone.  When a loved one is lost , how you feel is something that can not be described in words . I never lost a child. Parents , brother , sisters and grandparents. Brothers in the military. I also try not to say "I know how you feel". Everyone is different. Dennis (old2soon) and I lost two sisters and two brother in laws in a very short time. We both mourned , but we had different feelings.
I am not trying to attack any one but the uncaring reporters. Yes , they are doing their job , but have a little sympathy.

I understand and agree with your aggravation, Ross.

My point is that they are pursuing a product which they are selling to the general American public.  If we (the public as a whole) did not buy the product they would not be motivated to do what they do.  It is wrong and they are wrong in doing what they do but we, the American public, deserve some of the blame for why they do it.

We can't control or change the public as a whole, but we can determine that we individually will not participate.

I agree, whether it's this horrible event in Texas or the National Anthem Protest by entertainers, it's dollars that speak the loudest.   If we do not participate in reading or sharing in the media's presentation, that attention (and thusly) the event will be left alone by the media.

I agree with both of you here.

But, IMO, half of the people are going to agree and not participate, but on the other half will participate so the advertisers will get exposure and potential purchasers.

Look at the members on this board.  Most seem to be like minded on values and morals (I said most) and I believe if there was a product or action that we thought needed to be boycotted we would stick to our guns and boycott it.
But the next board, one that possibly leans to the other side, would not only "not boycott" but go out of their way and purchase the product or support the action.

And visa-versa!

How many of us here that normally watch NFL did not watch any games yesterday?

I flipped through a couple of games and saw a lot of empty seats!

Can't answer for anyone but myself.

I have been a KC Chiefs fan my entire life.   This season they appear to be contenders.
The first game of the season the Chiefs played the Patriots.

A KC player did not stand for the anthem.   I turned the TV to a different channel, didn't watch that game and have not watched another NFL game.   Would I like to watch the Chiefs play?   You bet your bippy I would.  Will I?   Not a chance until this BS ends.   I've also let several known advertisers/sponsors know about how I feel about the situation.   I sincerely hope someone is listening.

Yep, that was a good game. Unfortunately my Pats came up short, one of the two...

Sorry folks I do not accept the idea that I have any responsibility for the news reporting in any way.
I have never subscribed to a newspaper.
I do not buy newspapers.
I do not watch the news on TV or listen to it on radio.

I have no trust in the typical news media why would I watch, listen or read them?

I have read a discarded paper occasionally before placing it in the trash usually where should have been placed. I have heard a reporter reporting as I switched channels.

Newspapers would exist even if no one bought them, just for legal notices (I do not read those either).

There is no excuse for bad manners and trespass and being a news reporter is not an acceptable excuse. Being a reporter is also not an excuse for violating someone else space, nor is the "public's right to know".

Just my 2 cents worth.

why bother anymore watching anyways the Pack, A-rod Aaron Rodgers is out so they will not make the playoffs,  very doubtful anyways.

I would love to see the stands totally empty for one entire game in any stadium until all players are standing not kneeling down.

If on private property, the media has to get off if asked,  but if public property, as long as not harassing, they have a right to be near you and you have a right to ignore them and keep walking.  You also have a right to tell them to F off that is more to my liking.... cooldude

I would like to see those being haunted by reporters, have a big dog on a long leash. I don't need to know how they feel or what they will do. I can only imagine and that hurts enough.
Whether it be wildfires, hurricanes, shootings, teenagers in a car crash, domestic violence, leave the people alone.
Those that want to speak can easily find a reporter.

"Can we film the operation?
Is the head dead yet?
You know, the boys in the newsroom got a running bet
Get the widow on the set!
We need dirty laundry"

I think this song is more true today than ever.

Thanks, David in Fletcher NC.
