Kind of reminded me of the whole mess that 4 American swimmers did in Rio's Olympics: they got drunk, destroyed a gas station bathroom, paid back some money for the damage and next claimed that they were robbed by street thieves.

Ryan Lochte even had the nerve to do a TV interview about being robbed at gun point. He escaped Brazil and left his 2 friends behind to deal with the police investigation (the 2 were arrested in an airplane that was departing to US).

Probably because they are the idiots protesting when a black person commits a crime and gets caught doing it.

Back in the 80's a bunch of US servicemen (believe Navy on leave) in Izmir Turkey climbed up on a big statue of Ataturk (father of modern Turkey -  think George Washington, but the Turks worship him, or they did back then) drunk on their ass.  The Turk cops told them to get down once, and the sailors gave them the finger.  The Sgt in charge had them stand back and aim rifles (G3 machine guns) and fire on my command (like a firing squad).  The sailors saw they would be shot off the statue and got down.  Good thing, cause they would have all been killed.  And it would have been all nice and legal.  And they really liked Americans and US servicemen back then.

When in Rome, it's best to do what the locals do (or wherever you are).



And BTW, it was safer in every Turkish city than any American city during my tours there.

When I was in the Navy and visiting Japan we were told you get arrested in Japan you Will go to a Japanese jail and when the Japanese git done with ya you WILL now face charges from Uncle Sugar. And in case you missed it I was in from Feb 1964 til Feb 1968. These dumb asses got off way too easy. Wrist slaps are just that-wrist slaps. If they-hahahaha-do it again let China or whatever country they git arrested in keep em. RIDE SAFE.
