Looks promising!  I've got a receiver sitting around that I've been waiting to build.  Maybe I should build a new Valk!

So there's a new modern sporting rifle cartridge out there, and I'll admit it's piqued my interest, for the name alone!

Need to do some more research on it before I pull the trigger, but dang that's some good marketing on their part!

Geez, another .22 cal cartridge. I didn't compare but sounds close to .220 Swift, longer neck ,maybe for heavier bullets?  Accuracy and barrel life of the .22/250?

Gotta admit, great name.

The 224 Valkyrie is based on a 30 Rem./6.8 SPC case necked down to .224 caliber,” said Mike Holm, Federal Premium Centerfire Ammunition Global Product Lane Director, in a press release. “It beats the ballistics of all other MSR 15 cartridges, including the 22 Nosler, 223 Rem. and 6.5 Grendel. Plus, it offers comparable performance to larger rounds like the 6.5 Creedmoor, with roughly half the felt recoil—and at a more economical price.”

Interesting for sure.

Consumers interested in the .224 Valkyrie offerings can .......... head over to Federal Premium where they have the choice of four .224 loads starting at $12.95.

For each round?   Grin  :'(                       (20)

Here's an interesting write-up:   https://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2017/10/30/the-keefe-report-224-valkyrie-rightly-the-next-big-thing/

My takeaway is that this cartridge gives nearly equal performance to the 6.5 Creedmoor (necked down .30), but that cartridge requires a .30 cal AR, ie an AR 10 platform, but the Valkyrie runs on a basic AR .223 platform, and with greatly reduced recoil and boom than a .30/6.5 rifle.
