Today I go in for a followup endoscopy.  Nothing real serious.  I have had to stop taking nsaids and glucostomine for this procedure.  My arthritis is taking advantage of all this, needless to say.

I've had a number of things not going to plan this year but so far, so good. Hospital induced MRSA (licked), venous stasis,(working on it), possible ESE, and other odds and ends.

When my attitude needs adjusting, I think about the guy across the street in these retirement apts. He was found dead by his son in his apt a month ago.. He had no feet so went everywhere in his powered wheelchair. (diabetes).

Another friend of mine injured his foot, developed an infection which they couldn't stop, so they amputated his foot two weeks ago.

A lady at church has pancreatic cancer, inoperable and she is on 25 radiation treatments after a long chemical treatment.

Two of our Vets in our chapter of the Korean war vets have cancer. One of the bladder and the other of the prostate.  A third had a stent put in a few months ago.

Some days this gets to me. No wife to blow off steam.  It's hard for my kids to understand since I'm in relatively good health for my age.

Oh yeah, did I mention the short days? I suspect that I have some problems there too, what with the darkness at 5:30 pm.

Overall, I come back again and realize that I'm not that bad off compared to others who I know here in Indiana and on this board.

Cheers!  I think that I'll indulge in some single malt when i get back today.

Wayne-if it weren't for my friends here and on this block I live on in Missouri I WOULD have gone nucking futz a LONG time ago. Widow lady across the street wanted to have Thanksgiving last Friday around noon. All well and good and I planned my day around that. Here son and his Lady came up from Bama. Friday morning she tripped over one of the girls bunks went down and ended up with a broken left hip. She went into surgery around 11 A M Friday for a rod and plates and screws. We had Thanksgiving at her insistence at around 4:30 P M. She called me and she is now at the nursing home which is 2 miles out versus 22 miles to hospital. Plus after I get done taking her "stuff" out to her I'm gittin my knees in da breeze!  cooldude Somebody asked me my age and then the ridiculous statement-aren't you a little old to Still be on a M/C? Not only do I have Friends who are older and Still ride sez I BUT anybody can sit on the couch and wait for a heart attack. I'd rather ride thank you very much!  2funny Keep on keepin on Wayne and keep on havin Birthdays! RIDE SAFE.

Oh darn, Solo..... I originally thought the header said "Threesome" instead of "Tiresome"

Was about to give heartfelt congrats!

Keep up the writing, you know we love it! What was your favorite pre-1960s bike by the way?

A 1946 Matchless 500cc thumper hard tail..  First good bike.  I had a '35 Hd before that but it was tired.

BTW, I had my esophagus dilated today. . Liquid clear diet for one day.  Single malt, although clear, doesn't qualify  Wink  I'll give'er hell, Thursday or Friday.

Too bad you can't take the Miata out for a ride.  I'm thinking after I get my 75 Wing done and after a few rides this summer I'll sell it and my pickup and get a Miata. There are sure some nice used ones for sale and not expensive. Haven't had a ragtop since having a 63 Ford Galaxy XL500.
