No argument on that, but I didn't realize that was a criteria regarding good vs evil.

It's not and one of the mistakes that people regularly make is comparative degree of evil.  Evil is by definition evil.

Isa 30:1  "Woe to the rebellious children," declares the LORD, "Who execute a plan, but not Mine, And make an alliance, but not of My Spirit, In order to add sin to sin;

Rev 18:5  for her sins are a sticky mass piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes.

Leviticus offers a glimpse into different offerings for different sins.

Mar 3:29  but anyone who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. This is a sin with eternal consequences.”

While evil is evil and being evil commit sin or crime there is degrees and compounding of sins. When charged with a crime even the courts recognize multiple counts of a crime and charge multiple offenses for one criminal act, since sin like crime is not based on one act of violation but usually several.

You seem to equate crime and sin with evil. Once again you quote the Bible endlessly but don't understand its meanings.

I submit this as an example of evil.

Most laws are fashioned and patterned from the Bible also the bible is a standard that men should aspire to live by and emulate, and yes crime and sin are evil don't you agree?

Why are you trying to lecture me on not understanding the bible when what ever my knowledge is, your is less. What you said is done without any thought which only makes you look bad.

Your example of evil meat is indeed evil but what is the cause and is it sin?

As another thought God set commanded laws but on a couple of levels, there are spiritual laws and physical laws. Some spiritual laws have physical consequences but most physical laws have spiritual consequences. Usually breaking the physical laws is a result of a spiritual problem.

A good example is tithing, a physical act of faith brings a blessing in the physical and in the spirit and it is commanded by God in laws that He has ordained. Most if not touched in the spirit cannot bring themselves to do this physical act of blessing.

Now why don't you explain to me about the 10 commandments?

You still don't seem to understand the concept that just because something is illegal doesn't make it evil. (Also, no such thing as evil meat  Smiley ) To say what I have wrote is done without any thought is just plain ignorant. I'm also not too worried if it makes me look bad in your eyes. To continually profess to be a man of Christ, but yet twist scripture to conform with YOUR standards of humanity makes you look bad.

How about an example not just opinion.

Your actually right on this second thought, which the purpose was to start trouble and make me look as bad as possible.

and last is again example

Your understanding and word is worth little to nothing because your self proclaimed understanding is little also and done with malice.

If all you have to offer is your opinion then its worthless but if you have something that backs up your opinion then maybe we have something to talk about.

I have no intent of "making you look as bad as possible" . My intent was to explain the difference between being illegal, sinful, and evil. If you feel harmed, that might be something for you to reflect on. I believe I already gave you an example of evil. Not an opinion. Fact.

OK so your example was evil but did you consider it sinful?

Because its both evil and sinful which is in contradiction to your first statement and supports mine.

Nearly everything that is evil will be sinful and illegal. Almost insignificant is the amount of sinful and illegal that is evil. See the difference ?

My father often used the term “splitting hairs” when describing my discussions with him in my early years. Your guys have perfected the science far beyond my capabilities or my desire at this stage in my life. Science figured out how to split the atom long ago but who would of thought you could surpass that on a message board.

Distinction without a difference (or vice-versa) comes to mind.  Roll Eyes While I don't believe in a traditional  grade school version of hell, should I find myself there someday I suspect I'll be less surprised to be there than those who'll be shocked they're sharing it with me. That may make me an agent of Satan to some, but if so, I assure you all that my duties are purely ceremonial  2funny
