GO TRUMP  cooldude cooldude cooldude

I am really proud of our President, He is the fist one that has kept promises while in office. Got a tax cut that actually meant something to companies and enough to give back to employees. It also proves that big government it not the way to go. Some of those employees voted for Hillary I wonder what they are saying now?  Grin

AT&T was quick to respond to news of U.S. tax reform, announcing it would give some employees bonuses once the law is official.

The telecom giant said in a press release on Wednesday that it would give more than 200,000 U.S. union members a special bonus of $1,000. The company also increased its capital expenditures budget by $1 billion in the U.S.

“Congress, working closely with the President, took a monumental step to bring taxes paid by U.S. businesses in line with the rest of the industrialized world,” CEO Randall Stephenson said in a statement. “This tax reform will drive economic growth and create good-paying jobs. In fact, we will increase our U.S. investment and pay a special bonus to our U.S. employees.”

Also

Fifth Third Bancorp in Cincinnati, Ohio, will pay more than 13,500 employees a bonus and raise the minimum wage for its workforce to $15 after the passage of the GOP tax plan that will cut the bank’s corporate tax rate.

Merry Christmas one and all.

I told my brother today. If the tax plan works the way it is supposed to,the dems are going to loose big time in 18. Possibly 20 as well. The Indiana Democrat senator Donnelly has voted across party lines. I can say most certainly he will loose in 18. Hell the only reason he won in the first place is the GOP challenger Richard Mourdock  put his foot in his mouth a week before the election and said something very stupid.....

I think Trump should sign this on Christmas day .

It's looking like he will likely wait until New Year's to sign it to give congress more time to get a waiver in place against automatic Medicare cuts...

"Under a 2010 “pay-as-you-go” law requiring Congress to offset any new spending or lower taxes, the $1.5 trillion bill would trigger automatic cuts to Medicare and other programs—across-the-board reductions that Republicans don’t want to be responsible for letting take effect. By waiting until the calendar turns to 2018 to formally enact the tax bill, Trump would push the automatic spending cuts to 2019 and buy Congress another year to waive them."

All the ATT folks who were Hillary supporters or anti Trump ought to stand by their convictions and turn it down. But I bet they won't.

Ironically, the Trump tax cuts have already given more people a $15 minimum wage than Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren ever have... Wink

I can not speak for the rest of the country, but here in Ohio the effect has been happening on just the promise he made to bring them in, even though two months ago it seemed iffy that Trump could bring enough spineless and feckless Rinos along, but he pulled it off.  Companies associated with the supply side of Honda of American Mfg have been raising starting wages that just two years ago would be 11 to 12 dollars per hour to now 15 to 20 dollars per hour.  And overtime is dang near required things are going so good.  Heck I raised my rates this year and Honda never batted an eye.   This will be YUGE, the Dem leadership knows it and has raised the hysterics to unseen heights - at least until next week and they will find a new height.

On a side not if one has not seen or heard it google the victory ceremony this afternoon and listen to what Senator Orrin Hatch had to say - it was moving.

They're hypocrites!

On one hand they protest and say the bill is just for the rich, then on the other hand they protest when the folks in the big houses with big mortgages and big taxes in big tax states (you know, the rich folks they hate so much) don't make out.   uglystupid2

I wouldn't get too teary eyed over this.

https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/att-trump-corporate-tax-cut-bonus_us_5a3ae007e4b025f99e145c88

And let's throw a little dash of net neutrality in the pot, too...

Don't get me wrong, bonuses are good. But let's call it what it is.....

How Trump came to commute an ex-meatpacking executive’s 27-year prison sentence

I thought this was an interesting story that is a sign of the presidents compassion. Obama of course passed up the opportunity since the guy was a Jew but enough of that.

I think what this story represents to me is the fairness that Trump tries to govern with. This is also something we have not seen and don't see in other countries with the progressives running the show.

I am not blindingly a fan of Trump, I had a hope to see some real honest not politically motivated changes and so far there is no disappointment. No surprise that CNN said Trumps approval is at a record low among any president when they could not even get the numbers right on election or any other time. Its exciting to see the changes, the theme or these changes is for the common man. Something that the left should applaud also when their taxes are due.

I will remind all that previous administrations never put any money back in the pockets of the middle class they withdrew it at alarming rates decimating the middle class. So anything that brings wealth in any form back to the middle class is a plus in my books.

Story here:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2017/12/21/how-trump-came-to-commute-an-ex-meatpacking-executives-27-year-prison-sentence/

The Obama administration rebuffed the efforts. But on Wednesday, President Trump commuted Rubashkin’s sentence.

The White House said in a statement that Trump made the decision at the urging of officials, scholars and congressional leaders from both sides of the aisle, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah). The statement offered few details, but noted that the action was not a presidential pardon vacating his conviction.

Neither am I, but I do find it encouraging to see & hear of some of the good stuff that has happened thus far. When it comes to the Lame Stream Media, they seem to spend as much time running down Trump as they did fawning over Obama. I swear, they better not let it be known what kind of toilet paper he likes to use, they'd probably run that as front page headlines for a week.

Well as far as another technicality, Trump is kissing butt, Obama is sticking his thumb in so I would rather have Trump toilet paper.  Evil

So tell me Baldo. When the Trump tax plan works as it supposed to. Are you going to return the money you get back to IRS or are you going to donate your return to the DNC. After next year's ass kicking the dems got coming, they will need it...

There was a comment earlier about intentions, I think this goes to show the man cares.

Today, @POTUS @realDonaldTrump presented the Purple Heart to an American Hero, at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
