Kinds finally in bed. (The 15 year old wants to help play santa.)

Everything's out, scotch has been administered to parents to help with the transfer to bed...

Before all done I took a pic of the line up of the handiwork and ran ig through a "Add Santa to your pic" filter, getting this oneL

(Santa is totally a fidment of the computer's imaginatiuon, but with the kliddos knowing how many carmeras I keep arounmd the house, should be an easy sale to comvince 'em theat HOLY CRAP! WE GOT SANTA!!!

Hjope everyone pulls off your charage with success and sanity remaining... Enjoy the years they still buy it...

Off we go to slumber, to deal with the excited kiddos waking up superearlier to review our handiworp...

Good night to all, and a Merry Christmad to all!!!

(No, the person writing this is not, legally, sober at this poiint... Why do you ask? )

good old days of kids waking us up at 5-6 a.m. wanting presents NOW is missed.  I recorded the events (before smartphones had camcorder)  a few times and a few were precious to watch over and over again years later.

now over a decade later, we get to sleep in which is nice as well both kids still in bed as of 9 a.m.

we do not get into Christmas as many families do but instead buy items throughout the year on sale good deals vs. blowing all kinds of money just because it is Christmas time.  Our families (only my brother and his wife/kids) do not get together anymore either just one mom we visit.

we did as well dip into the 30-40 proof beverages last night as well.... Lips Sealed

Hehe, I was tempted to edit my post this morning, but I think I'll leave it as is for posterity...

It worked, and was well earned last night... Might be starting early this morning with 3 over hyped 6 year olds and many electronic and noisy toys all over the house...

Merry Christmas to all, hope everyone has a great one!

My boys are 4 and 7 and didn't get upt until 8:30. We had a great morning, too many toys with too many parts to put together. Went to my mom and dads this evening and had several glasses of Knob Creek 100 proof. Also had a great time there. My favorite present from dad was a hand made knife made out of a horseshoe. Very cool little knife. He even took it and had my name laser etched into the blade. Of course I couldn't leave it alone and had to sharpen it like a razor blade.  Cheesy

I remember when kids really little they liked the boxes and cardboard better than the toy itself....

I got my usual chocolate covered with toffee coated/powdered sugar macadamian nuts (now jar 1/3rd gone already) and WI state park sticker.
