got the wife the base model Guilia well optioned on a lease --the big dog one just had too stiff a suspension for her arthritic neck--the car as a whole is just amazing but the suspension is  simply from another world...--my favorite ride after hours is to take the Valkyrie around some local back roads that now with all the new housing starts are buckling quite a bit making it a bit dicey to go very fast..this thing just effortlessly absorbs a tremendous  amount of wheel travel giving an unbelievable ride and control I didn't think was possible..the 8 speed transmission with 280 hp but 300# torque is always at the ready with the car computer sensing what you are doing and puts every aid possible to get you down the road at unfathomable speed and ease...I highly recommend a test drive just to see how advanced this car is--my 2003 Zo6 Corvette simply cannot come close to this car on an undulating surface--the Valkyrie though will allow me to keep my drivers license.....

nice, price is reasonable as well around that 40K range or slightly more.  Reasonable is a relative term though for some of us but if you look at new vehicles nowadays most are over 30K msrp pushing 40K for the top of the line packages.  I never thought I would EVER go over 30K purchase price until I bought my new 2017 tundra sr5 double cab with an msrp around 37K and that is just mid-level trim cloth seats still. 

Not a huge fan of the going way with all mfgs. doing small 1.5L or 2.0L 4 cylinder twin turbos.  My neighbor just bought a mid to upper level 2017 honda CRV all new design very nice for price paid under 30K and only has a 1.5L twin turbo and was surprised has enough pep for most of us without being too loud stepping on the gas pedal hard.  He also gets OVER 30 avg mpg which is pretty darn good even for a small 4 cylinder engine.  I do not like all the gadgets it has though like speed compensated cruise control or lane departure monitoring, stuff that is NOT needed if you pay attention while driving.  Luckily for my neighbor he has that for he is a horribly distracted driver.  He showed me how the cruise control keeps a 3 second following distance between vehicle in front as well as going over center line or right side line on road it will move car over automatically into your own lane.  Not sure I trust electronics to do all of that safely over 3-10 years or longer?

Can you turn off all the intrusive nannies on that Alfa car to drive it more like the corvette?
