Now all you need are some of these.

Based on their design, surprised Aerostich of Duluth didn't come up with them first. The pants go on similar to the Ridecrafter Suite.

I start out with heavy weight base layers.

Hmm, nice. I might go for those if my old pair finally stop working.
The HD branded Gerbing heated pants I show in the video are pretty similar. But they only open up to the knees. Not completely open like those... plus they're no longer available.

those pants on pants are a neat idea if not too pricey.  I have used ski bibs that slip on with suspender straps but not always the zippers are long enough on bottom to get on say winter boots or ski boots if going skiing.  However,  all zippers all the way up is great until the zippers bust and stop working so they best be very heavy duty zippers to last otherwise you have a useless pair of shredded paints like a skirt.

I used to add a 3rd wheel in addition to the layers, but eventually I got old and stopped riding below 40°  Wink

ONLY in WI???  Roll Eyes

I have seen can am spyders in winter, but not that much snow on the ground.  that is NUTS even on 3 wheels.  I reserve my winters for 4 wheels on the ground like ATVs.  well almost on the ground on 4 wheels?

Without electrics, you dress up with enough gear to look like the Pillsbury Doughboy, and walk like Gumby.

Then, all you need is for someone to help lift your leg over the bike.

When done riding, you don't need help getting off, you can just fall off.   Grin

Just on a good-natured bet, I went a mile. A live axle setup like on a Ural would be better, but it's not as daring as one might think on a city road with no ditches. If you get stuck you can just hop off on the left side and walk alongside it pushing while the rear spins a little in first. the clutch is right there if you need to let it stop rolling.

Winter gear? Electric pants?

In Wisconsin we don't even put on a sweater until it gets down below 20°  2funny

Yeah, I skipped over the underwear didn't I.
When it gets way below freezing I usually wear a union suit... just like my old grandpappy.

Most people don't know it, but this is where the term "blue balls" comes from.

Cotton is the worst material to use in frigid conditions. It does not hold in body heat well. once it gets wet from perspiration, which the body does all of the time, it actually draws heat away from the body making one colder.

You're too kind. Ex girlfriend who took the picture probably thought something more like, "where the term moron comes from".  Wink

so that was you in that pic?  If so,  then I can see why she was your EX-girlfriend..... 2funny

Now if that was a nice looking female naked shoveling snow, I would be more than glad to go outside and cover her up getting her nice and toasty.... cooldude

speaking of snow,  coming down now looks like finally a 3 inch snowfall coming our way by tomorrow over this 1 inch or less dusting we have only gotten 2-3 times so far this winter....

Ever since I posted this it's been about 50 degrees here in Seattle.
If I knew it was that easy to chase winter away I'd have done it a long time ago!

Yup, that's me. Was having fun on this board 12-13 years ago in a similar thread to this one, and when one of our Florida brothers made a comment about it was in the 30's and he was piling on the clothes, I made the comment about in WI we don't even put on a sweater...
He called me out on it,  and it seemed like a good idea at the time. Some of the old timers around here may still remember that shot BEFORE I added the smiley face, but only after much therapy.  Wink
As I recall, it only took 5-10 minutes before the feeling came back to the soles of my feet.

Ha!
Well, if you didn't lose any toes (or other parts) to frostbite, I guess it was worth it.
