Used to stop at Dunkin Donuts EVERY morning.  Large coffee extra cream 3 splenda.  Same order, for YEARS.  There was many a time they'd get it wrong but unfortunately I was already on the highway before finding out.  One morning I watched the person make it wrong.  No cream and a big fat spoon of sugar.  When I told her again what I ordered, She looked right at me and said "That's not what you ordered".

Thank goodness for Kuerig!!!

I eat fairly often from fast food joints.  I order normally with a change or two off the standard item.  I have very rarely received other than what I ordered.  You fellas must have some sort of curse hanging over your heads.   Wink

Whatever you do, don't order your filet-o-fish with the cheese on the side.

They get it wrong about 20 percent, maybe more, of the time maybe more.  First noticed this when our college baseball team stopped at at Big Mac back in the 70s.  It has progressively gotten worse. Gov't educated kids perhaps.  It happens with my wife often as she does not check.  The few times a year I stop I always check before leaving.  80 percent of time I stop at Subway and watch them make it, of course.  Often they are frugal with with the vegeys.  I always encourage them to pile on the spinach, onions, etc. trying to be nice about it.  I try to treat these folks like their job is the most important in the world.

When I go thru the drive thru, I won't leave till I check the order (NO CONDIMENTS OR VEGIES OF ANY KIND, PLAIN).  Please move on.  Nope, not till I check.  I do the same thing standing in line, though inside, my order is nearly always right.   Be nice though, lest someone hocks a luggie in your sammich.

With condiments, you can't even taste the nice horse meat.

These days, I only eat fast food while stopping on the bike, and I always go in.

How else will you get flies on and around your food?

Wow, glad I totally eliminated fast "food" from my diet 15 years ago.  After a year of no fast "food" you will feel so much better and if you get tempted one burger is enough to make you feel awful.  Just say no!

I got sick of too much SALT ALL OVER my french fries at the local mcdonalds that I specifically stated NO SALT on the fries.  it took an extra 10 minutes to get my food, but they had to make a special NO SALT batch of fries for me since the fries had more salt than potatoe on/in them.

they do not anywhere get my order wrong hardly EVER, but if they do I have no problems going back up and have them make it again for me.  A lot of times they even say keep the hamburger, etc. so I could scrape off some of the bad stuff not wanted and EAT BOTH hamburgers... 2funny

I ordered a black coffee. Do you want cream and sugar. No, black coffee. Do you want cream. No, black coffee. Do you want sugar. No , black coffee. Are you sure
OK , give me a coffee with no cream and no sugar. O K.
One of the few days I had a sense of humor when it comes to coffee.

I would say they get the order wrong about 1 out of 3 times and may be a bit conservative. Am also of the opinion most employees do not care.
My step granddaughter is a High School drop-out and is a perfect example of that culture. Absolutely cannot make change for a dollar unless the screen in front of her tells her what to give back.  Could not care less about the job except it is a way to make a bit of money. We tried several times to help her get her GED but she refused to study at all. Told her she better get used to saying "Would you like fries with that" because that statement is her future.

If you want a real challenge, you guys should try ordering when you have any kind of accent! That absolutely blows their minds!
It's got to the point now where my wife just leans across and does the ordering, and I just sit there like some kind of mute and hand the money over..crazy2

Lots of wives (and girlfriends) wish they had that deal Jopson.   Grin

I don't go to many fast food places, but it is my experience, like many other businesses, when out in the countryside I get pretty good service (often polite and with a smile), but when in town it's always hit and miss.  And the bigger the town (or city) the more misses I get.

No problem. If I do order something, I order by the number with no options. Coffee black. Less stress and aggravation involved. Maybe that's why I visit Subway maybe once a year crazy2
